Celestial Wit

The only son of Starlight Glimmer and Twilight Sparkle, a pure-blooded unicorn who rarely uses his magic.

He's one of the youngest kids from the new mane 6, Starlight and Twilight being friends for a very long time, both afraid to make a move. Knowing Starlight's past, Twi didn't want to move too quickly, while Starlight was too afraid history would repeat itself again.

Wit has a lot of magical potential, someone would say too much. Inheriting nearly all of his mom's alicorn magic, Wit was left with a lot of power that was hard to control for his simple unicorn horn. Magical outbursts were a new norm for the Sparkle-Glimmer family, way worse than Flurry Heart ever had. After they got too out of their hoofs, Twi and Starlight took Wit to Celestia and Luna, hoping they would know some ways to help. There was a solution, but both mothers shot it down quickly, never talking about it again.

It took a long time, but after research and help from their friends and well-known mechanics Doctor Whooves and Torque Wrench, they were able to create a device that would stop the magical outbursts, when put on his horn, having a ring-like look. Sadly, it also stopped the magic altogether. Wit still has it on to this day but has lessons with his mother to control his alicorn magic, now that he is older.

Prince Celestial Wit is what you would expect a prince to be. Well mannered, generous, kind and well-spoken. He tries to be the best he can be, there was a lot of drama when he was younger. I mean, the son of The Queen of Equestria and the element of Magic couldn't do any spells, the journalists had a lot of fun with that one. It made Wit very self-conscious, wanting to be someone his mothers, and Equestria as a whole could be proud of. And if he couldn't do that by using his magic, he would act like the best prince ever. That set him off, he would be so focused on his royal training, learning the history of Equestria (the prince has to know his country) and being loved in the public eye, that he would ignore trying to make friends all together. The poor colt soon started being more and more stressed. He would act stiff even around his mothers, being totally awkward around his aunts and uncles.

He doesn't really enjoy being called by his title or his full name, but he got used to it. Nicknames from anyone else than his moms are still very new to him, he freezes every time he hears someone calling him Celest or Witty, but he does like the warm feeling in his chest it brings.

Wit absolutely adores learning about history or hearing stories about his mother and her friends and the pillars of Equestria. You could ask him a question about any event in history and he would answer within seconds. He enjoys helping others studying, that's probably the only time he doesn't feel awkward around others. He is also a fan of art, even if he himself can't draw very well.

On the other hand, Wit absolutely hates loud sounds, but he did become friends Sweet Charlotte, Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich's firstborn, so I guess he does make one exception. He doesn't really like his magical training, he got used to his "earth pony" ways and he managed well, he doesn't really see the point anymore, but if it helps with his family's reputation…

Wit is also terrified of bugs, especially spiders.

Wit hasn't really figured himself out in terms of his talent or even his sexuality, guess we will have to figure that out with him.

I totally wasn't listening to Waiting In The Wings while drawing my boy (I totally was).

While in the base edit Witty was all smiling and joking around with Charlie, it wasn't always like that. While I adore my boi being happy, I need to start from the very beginning. So, get ready for some angst!
