Description OK, first of, im a big fan of tintin. i dont read it anymore, but i grew up on it. i owned all the comics, i even had tintin bed sheets when i was 10 haha!

this picture means a fair bit to me even though i finished it about 30 min before submiting it to deviantart, because well, my dad is a big fan of tintin as well. well thats not exactly the reason...

my dad is one of those guys that always will tell you "you will never make it" and will only look for negative points in any art i would create. mind you i dont mind that since he gives me stuff to improve on, but damn a lil positive feedback does help sometimes

anyway. he told me (yesterday) that i should recreate a tintin cover for his dad, but also in the process laughed at the fact that my style wasnt right for tintin.

anyway, as i finished it, he walked in, and said "holly shit! you actually made it look and feel like a tintin cover, but with your wierd own style".

he loves it!

so yeh he's happy, im happy, everyone is happy!

i know thers a few flaws but eh, what the hell.

ties in nicely with the tintin movie coming out soon too!

(this is my version of tintin so please, accept that he doesnt have an oval head with dots for eye's)

i love feedback so go NUTS!

tintin doesnt belong to me. i dunno who owns it now
here is the original ( still the best by far) cover : [link]

interesting diversion form herge's ligne claire style far more realistic for that matter
the oly thing that the orginal has going over yours is far more dense and varied foliage
tintin these days is owned by the herge foundation the publisher has always been casterman in france belgium and the netherlands
excluding the first three which have since been included in castermns line up

haha I love it! Especially Professor Calculus you did a great job with him, and you got their positions perfectly, in my opinion!
Go Tintin!

cheers! this was ridiculously fun to do!
im also pretty happy with the positions, in my style gravity needs to work normaly unlike in the original cover where everyone is leaning one way haha

and yes! long live tintin!

Yeah, I don't think tintin really followed the rules of gravity all the time... XD
