Sharbat Gula (Pashto: شربت ګله, literally "Rose Sherbet") (Sharbat is pronounced [ˈʃaɾbat]) (born ca. 1972) is an Afghan woman of Pashtun ethnicity. She was forced to leave her home in Afghanistan during the Soviet war for a refugee camp in Pakistan where she was photographed by journalist Steve McCurry. The image brought her recognition when it was featured on the cover of the June 1985 issue of National Geographic Magazine, at a time when she was approximately 13 years old. Gula was known throughout the world simply as the Afghan Girl until she was formally identified in early 2002.The focus in this is the eyes. These computer vector SAMPLE was done in Corel. Each was completely redrawn.

I remember this photo well. You've captured her essance. The eyes were the haunting part of the photo and you've really recreated them wonderfully!

Thank You Very Much for your kind remarks. I have experience in Illustrator and would be doing these in that format, But the money comes into play in everything. Coreldraw can easily be reformatted in Ill. and cost a lot less. Your "Yellow Corn Flower" is beautiful! The shadowing around the flower just makes it jump right out.
I am new to this sight and will save your sight to keep in touch. Thanks again to take the time to appreciate my work.
