Starting an A-Z of Fantasy Creatures, this is "B"- Basilisk and what else could I do but draw it how I imagined when reading the HP booksI have "A" somewhere in my sketchbook...

I always believe that the basilisk is a giant monstrous snake. After all that's why they called it "king of serpents". Oh and thanks for the sketch and I like it. But the wizard is a bit too pale and green.

Right so why are you saying thanks for the sketch? 1. It's not a sketch, it's a painting and 2. It wasn't painted for you so why say thanks? this wasn't for you? Also this painting is nearly 2 years old why even critique something that old.

I've never liked the traditional half-chicken image of the basilisk. The HP version is best. Thus so is this.

Your drawing gave me shivers just because it is so good! I love your interpretation of the basilisk, well done. I know it is how you imagined it so there no point in mentioning the differences between the one in the book. And I think you did a terrific job!
