Personality and brief history: Nathan is a far better man than he was in his youth. Raised in a hard hitting, poor Irish family in the Woodlawn area of the Bronx, Nate grew up tough, and grew up mean. As a child, Nathan showed remarkable aptitude at artistic ventures, but would be beaten by his abusive, alcoholic father for "not acting like a man." Soon, his artistic endeavors would take the back burner to his desire for approval from his father, leading him to scrap constantly with other local boys. His size and strength increased as much as his mean streak, and his teens to late twenties life consisted of drinking, womanizing, and fighting, with more than one run in with the law. Feared on the streets, Nate was nicknamed "Kodiak" for his massive size and strength. While he was expected to continue down his dark path until it claimed his life as it had his father's, it was the slow and steady loss of his mother to illness that turned his life around. She made him promise to do good with his life when she was gone, to not wallow in the mire as his father had done. When she was laid to rest, Nate left the Bronx, and settled in Los Angeles, escaping the hell his life was becoming. Because of a cousin in the film industry, Nathan became a special effects technician through several years of interning and on the job training. He also began to take up painting again, and finally found some measure of peace since leaving his troubled past.

Innate Ability: Animal Affinity - Nathan has always been very good with animals of all sorts, and even wild animals will walk right up to him, show him affection, or even perch on him. He doesn't mind, though if he sits still for too long outside, he ends up looking like a zoo. He's been likened akin to a Disney Princess for this ability.

Defensive Ability: Ursine Armor - Calling upon the fortitude of the Great Bear, Magical armor forms about Nathan's body, either fully or in sections (typically about the head, shoulders and legs). The added armor allows Nathan to defend his fellow Senshi, becoming a wall between them and incoming attacks. The mystical armor draws attacks to him, but puts great stress on his body the longer it's worn, and absorbing too much damage runs the risk of overwhelming his heart. He cannot maintain the full form of the armor for more than a few minutes, and only with great concentration.

Offensive Ability: Kodiak Quake - Enhancing his massive strength temporarily, Nathan is able to strike the ground beneath him, causing an outward cone of explosive energy. The ground will roar apart and split, and the earth will explode in large chunks around his opponent.

Offensive Ability: Celtic Cross: Nathan channels the mystical might of Ursa Major into his fists, snapping a 2 hit combo with such speed as to trail energy behind his strikes. If an opponent is struck directly, it will likely send the enemy spiraling away. If used at a distance, will create a cross of energy that spirals from Nate, to strike the first target before him. Nathan has no control of the energy once it has launched, so he has to be very careful which way he is facing when the ability is used.

Offensive Ability: Platinum Hibernation: As a result of his speed training in development of his Celtic Cross ability, Nathan is able to punch super fast continuously, hundreds of times per second, potentially dazing his opponent with a flurry of strikes. This is exclusively a close range attack. The strength of the attacks will weaken, based on the number of times the ability is used, or how many punches are thrown. Because he is a total fanboy, he named it after a favorite anime character, Jotaro Kujo's Stand, Star Platinum, and Hibernation to maintain the bear theme.

Combo Enabled Attack: Dash Corkscrew: By focusing the azure energy into his punch as he dashes, Ursa Major can slide short distances, propelled by his fist. Because of the motion of the corkscrew punch, the energy swirls about his arm and cuts the air, creating a temporary vortex of wind that snaps into the target of Nathan's strike. He cannot cast or throw this wind, it simply is an effect of the power of his attack, that bursts into his target upon contact. If the attack misses, the energy and wind simply dispels. (Generally, it looks like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=du3bkX… , without the opponent spinning)

When combo'd with another Senshi, Nathan either becomes a living projectile for his partner, or can enhance the speed/force of his partner's attack. (For example, if a Senshi were to use a combo enabled ability of water, the water would merge with Nathan's "wind" and become a "Dash Typhoon." If shadow were to be used, it would become an "Umbral Spiral," etc. An example of enhancing another's ability, like Tauro, Nate could use the ability to strike her hammer, making it become a "Whirl Jackhammer," or something to that effect) *

Unique Buff: Sweet Regeneration: Allows Nathan to begin regeneration after being damaged, handling minor injuries over time, but ability is not immediate.
