as the title indicates -- this is my Psychology notebook for this semester. ^^
(well, it's the back side of it, anyway -- front side, I'm planning on giving L & the rest of Wammy's House a tribute).
anyway, I figured it would be appropriate to have a Death Note-themed notebook for a psych class.

to both Japanese & English speakers -- a thousand apologies for my sloppy handwriting!
I was actually writing on white out with sharpie -- yes, I covered my notebook in white-out, not an easy task, especially when I realized AFTER the fact that I could've just put a white paper or two over the notebook -- so anyway, the sharpie had a great tendency of fading/smudging. >_<;;
And random note, but the great tendency of sharpie on white-out to smudge actually is what brought me to make the reflection (on the apple) more abstract/impressionistic. I mean, heck, if there's a tendency for your medium to rebel, why not roll with it? XD

Anyway, here's what the English on my notebook says, in case you can't read it -- they're quotes from Ryuk (in red) and Light (in black), from the manga, anime, and the live action.

Ryuk
Humans are a riot! I like apples... Light, let's play Mario Kart! You know, Light... you're more of a shinigami than any shinigami I ever met. Hyuk, hyuk, hyuk... You are worse than a god of death - you are a true devil.

Light
I am justice! I am the god of the new world, saving it from evil and ridding it of fear. Those who betray god are the evil ones. This world is rotten. L, did you know that shinigami only eat apples? You can't ever win if you're always on the defensive - to win, you have to attack! All of my obstacles have disappeared. Just as planned. I win. That's right - I am Kira.

Yeah....
Also, the hand/apple thing. It was inspired by the anime's first season opening theme, actually, when you see Light in the reflection in the apple. But, I wanted to change it, making it Light's own reflection (as opposed to someone else seeing him in the reflection, savvy?...), with Ryuk over his shoulder. The reason why the hand is black is to attempt to show Light's progression from student (as pictured in the apple) to shinigami (as pictured in "reality"). So, it's intended to be a shinigami's hand, though I guess you could interpret it however you want. XP

And now that I've rambled on and on and on... *cough*
