I think the art and idea is great, and it's full of effort, but the animation itself is really choppy and inconsistent. Id suggest using some references.

can i talk about this for a moment? first of all great animations overall dude i can see the hard work going into it. When doing fight scenes make it more...fluid and engaging you know? sakugabooru.com/post/show/2496… sakugabooru.com/post/show/8831… these a great examples of blade-like battles in fight scenes. increase the impact of the blades clashing to other blades. as well as the character acting. if you wanna make it stylish go for it. look again great animations overall man! your doing such a great job!

Overall ? or about that post here ? Cause there is no impact here ( In the final render in 3d , the team will add spark effects to show well that the heroine escape the attacks )
If it's overall, then i'll speak about making slash impacts better than my 2D base animatic on the team.

hm....maybe i should have shown you a better reference...anyways i was only trying to give suggestions and help out. me simply saying "nice job" i feel just dosent cut it. you know? again its just a suggestion and its up to you to take it or not.

Oh! okay ill break it down for you and give you better references on what you can do next time.
Okay so, you did a great job with the impact of the attacks. however the drawings simply move and lack fluidity within there movements.
Take a look at this reference and now neat and fluid the characters move sakugabooru.com/post/show/506/…

but try to keep the intensity of the fighting itself okay? sakugabooru.com/post/show/1818…

you grasp the concept of fighting sword fighting for example. its also important to focus on the characters movement too okay? youtu.be/JEFY_9rJoYI this animator is a great example.
look again at the end of the day its just constructive feedback alright? its up to you to take it or not. if you don't then you don't and you can improve the way you seem fit. if you do take the advice then i highly recommend looking at these references and coming up of ways from learning from these examples i gave you. all and all your animations are great and i hope to see more from you.

Okay yeah , then you should have wrote those critique on my page front for example , would have made more sense , cause i was stuck watching my deviation figuring out what you were talking about
You seems to be a fan of Nakamura (but right now who isn't , he became huge compared to when i discovered him long time ago )
His style is for him and i dont think i should try to follow on his plates.
Buuuuuut i remember someone , an 2d animator colleague who told me that my stuff was lacking of close range camera plans lately haha , and seeing some references you selected especially the seraph one i think i understand why you messaged me
Those kind of actions styles (Mid close range camera /close range with the face ) , i already done that actually but you'll have to search into my all works and good luck for that haha.
My fresh animated stuff will have more close range action cause my colleague already told me that and i know i have to put some back
My next big animated movie will have some huge ones , stay tuned !

yes of course he's such an amazing inspiration. i don't wanna be like him let alone copy his animations but i do aspire to work hard to be in the same level as he is. neither should you. your unique too^^

I'm a professionnal 2d animator , got my degree in paris by 2007 and i was animating way before that
i started serious on computers by early 2000's when i was 16 years old , since i'm 32 , never stopped since , never will (unless i get bored xd )
