Description
The movie who started on chapter 2.The general quality is better here
[link]
The golden rule is a movie with some unfinished footages
the project was stopped close to the end of the adventure, but i decided to release on internet the film splitted into some parts .
The project was started in 2008 and was stopped in 2010.
More than 2 years of crazy hard work , this movie is 2d hand drawn animation entirely. Created as a 2d platformer.
The story focuses on Princess Emerancy of the Citadel of the skies.
The citadel is attacked while the princess is performing a dance recital for something.
The princess have a mysterious little magic lamp like the one from Fairytales...
The Monsters are very furious and there is a lot of them on many forms (soldiers/monsters )
Why the citadel is attacked , it's related to the Magic lamp she got?
and why the movie starts to the second chapter ?
Take a look to the first part of the Golden rule Unreleased ver.
Real (animation 2d/montage/characters designs) : Kayode .hermann (lenneth4)
No sound .
Duration 17 minutes , first part.

Indeed, and what a piece of work it is! I wish I can commit to a project of mine for that long as you have so kudos to that. I fizzle out within a week or two before doing something else or not doing anything else entirely, haha. But I usually go back to it after awhile. I just wish it'd be more of a sustained effort over the long run.

well, the golden rule is my most hard work to date
to be honest , it was maybe because personnal thing, that i did this (i can tell you that on msn if you want, not here)
The golden rule have probably 100000 frames to constitute the animation since the movie is in three part, and the second part is 22 minutes, some parts are flash back with repeated images but i added some new animations so i guess haha!
and yes , the project is just impressive now,i didnt even noticed that i was creating my most personnal and valuable movie.
I dont know, it's maybe because the force and the motivation , you have to got a crazy strong motivation to get this and you get this only when bad thing happens to you ,
bad and crazy things.
thanks for the comment.

At least you still got a crazy strong motivation to do it! I had that maybe when I was still a kid but lost it somehow. I have to work up a sweat just to get motivated to pick up a pen to draw.

I didn't watch all of it. But I did watch parts throughout and I do have to say this has more of a feel of a video game than a short movie. All the scenes are shot from very far away (long shot) and it feels like I'm watching cut scenes from a video game. I would love to get closer to the characters so I can see their expressions. Plus it'd be great to have some cuts to change angles to give more variety and set in a mood. The angle throughout is set like a game platformer. It has this feel to it like I'm watching someone play a video game.

thanks for the feeback!
yeah i should add more vary angle and more close stuff.
but there is some zoom and some close angles
i think there are few then.
the end of the movie have some close and classic shot tough.
for the video game feeling , i did it on purpose.

Yeah, with just expressions you can tell a big story, plus it gives us a good insight into how a character might be feeling at a particular moment.
