Adina is sweet to others, always tending to their needs. If a foal has fallen, she is right there to help it back to its feet.

Being almost completely blind, Adina keeps tends to keep to herself, thinking this is the best way to stay out of trouble.

Adina is an excellent eavesdropper, making her capable of knowing others to an extent that allows her to twist things around and get them to do what she wants.

Sketchy

Being blind has made Adina warry and jumpy of sudden noises and unexpected sounds.
Proud

Although she is shy, if asked, she speaks highly of herself and her ability to stay alive with her lack of sight. She doesn't consider her blindness a disability.
Strong

With blindess came hieghtend hearing, eyesight and smell. Adina can smell a predator a mile way and hear a rabbit breathing. This gave her some more confidence but she keeps all this hidden from other in her herd from fear of being seen as a threat.
Caring + Selfless

Adina is incredibly respectfull and loving only to other mares of the herd. She would do anything for her broodmare sisters. Even standing between them and another stallion if the situation called for it.

Quiet

A desperation to know more about her past and what she could have done to deserve the life she lived, Adina spends much of her time alone and in her own thoughts. She hardley speaks unless spoken too. She may despise the stallions, but she shows them respect, knowing theirs many of them and only one of her.
History
[Birth]
Adina was born into the Bachelor herd to a mother who was kicked out after her weening and a father who she doesn't know. Adina wasn't born blind. Her eyesight was 20/20 when she was a young filly. As time progressed, her eyesight began to become fuzzy and blurry.

After Adina's mother was exiled from the herd, Adina became a silent, obedient filly, doing whatever was she was told. Being in a strict herd, her diminishing eyesight was never mentioned to anyone. It wasn't noticeable to the others in her early years.

Adina grew up believing mares were nothing but property to stallions. Even so, she still hates them for driving her mother out and she made a silent vow to find her mother one day, no matter the costs.

[Child - Teenager]

As Adina grew, so did her dislike for stallions. Although she was the most obedient of the mares, she internally despised the stallions with every fiber in her body. She grew used to being looked at as nothing but property, but a dream of being respected and loved flooded most of Adina's thoughts.

The idea of Unicorns was nothing more then just an idea. It was hammered into her head that they did not exist and if they did, they were horrible creatures. Adina had trouble believing in this. Although she would NEVER say this out loud. Adina wanted to believe in a higher power, something that could give her a better life then the one she was living now.

[Young Adult]
With age came a more intense lack of sight. When she was 18, her eyesight was so far gone, she could no longer successfully hide it. Others in the herd began to notice she only stuck within a certain area, one in which she had memorized and knew of. Anything she was only a little familiar with, she wouldn't stay very long. She could be seen counting her steps and swaying her head side to side to get a better picture of moving and non-moving things. All she could see at this point was shadows or silhouettes of large thing around. But, only during the day when the sun was out. At night, or on cloudy days, when there wasn't enough light to cause strong shadows, Adina was completely blind, living in a world of darkness.

Even though her world grew visibly dark, it grew loud. She could hear things she hadn't heard before, feel the tiniest fly on her coat and even smell a distant predator. Adina began to focus solely on her other, now heightened senses. During the day, when shadows became distracting, she would close her eyes to better focus on her other senses. No equine or predator could sneak up on her anymore, their footsteps, no matter how soft, was not quiet enough to escape her now incredible hearing.

A predator could be smelt out by hear before even the guard stallions could get them in their sights. She became a better defender of herself and the other broodmares then even their own gaurd stallions.

Though her other abilities were strong, she kept their strength hidden, not wanting the stallions to know. She feared that their knowledge of her new abilities would consider her a threat. If she was ever to escape and find her mother, she couldn't risk that knowledge getting free.

Her belief in the unicorns and her dream of ever having a stallion who respected and loved her dwindled down to nothing more then the tiniest flame. Nothing in her life had changed. Nothing besides her other heightened senses had gotten better. If there was a higher power, why would they let her live this way? She grew angry at this idea. The thought that she could have down something to cause this life for herself drove her crazy. She stands alone, often drowning in her thoughts and digging through her past to try to find out what she could have down to deserve the life she lived.
