So who's been enjoying the new Minecraft update? I'm loving the new building materials, the Ocean monuments, and especially the new trading and enchanting mechanics, but I think there's a bit of a problem with mobs not despawning when you leave the chunk! My husband and I had the misfortune of finding a four by four hole in the ground full of zombies from a mob spawner. There were so many that the sound they were making was screwing up the game's entire sound, and making me lag to an almost unplayable level. We think there were over fifty in there... And then something knocked us into the hole and we got pinballed 'til we died. >< We had to come back with splash potions and barricades, but I lost a fortune enchanted diamond pick in the end.
Anyone else have any interesting experiences since the latest update? I'd love to hear about it!Anyway, chicken. Chickens are evil little buggers. Every time mine escape, they manage to destroy half my pumpkin patch.

This guy is REALLY gutsy, considering the fact that he has no problems with getting up reeeeeally close to a Creeper. (Even while inside his house, like earlier.) I mean, I know this is Jeffery the not-blowy-up-guy we're talking about here, but does this bozo know that?
...I've also noticed that the characters have gotten a lot taller since the first comic. It's interesting to see how things have evolved!

Yeah, the style and story has evolved so much, I think I'm going to actually redo the old, traditionally drawn pages and add panels and dialogue. Partially because the old art is downright embarrassing. XD
Yeah, Asshole is really not too bright. As I was just telling someone else, he's kinda a reference to "that" noob. You know the one. The guy who does everything wrong and annoys the hell out of you by asking for things all the time and making a mess when he should know better.

Proally the most horrid thing to happen to me loosing an item was my infinity 1 god bow (Called it God bow since it has the highest enchants on it), I was helping my friend make a blaze spawner farm, he kept dieing, and I kept with with the pewpew of my god boy, when we finally gotten the grinder done for the farm, we were testing it out and well, I some how gotten crushed by the grinder and it killed me and in that time a blaze gotten loose and set my stuff and my friend on fire, so I lost my bow, I remember that I threw a fit on the mic and just raged off of Minecraft xD

Oh, man, that would suck. The worst for me was the time I fell into one of those one by one block holes in the nether to the lava lake... Lost my infinity I/ Power IV/ Punch I/ Fire I bow, A smite IV diamond sword, a fortune III/ unbreaking III/ efficiency IV diamond pickaxe, several stacks of the quartz I'd been mining, and a whole set of enchanted diamond armor. ...I didn't play on that file again for awhile.

It took me 24 hours to get back on the server I was on for that grinder xD turned out that the server was lagging alot and my character was pulled back to the spot where the grinder was, man we get beat up and loose ton of stuff over that xD

At least you didn't fall into the black abyss beyond the bedrock. At one point there was a time that on a rare occasion there would be a one block hole in the bedrock. Of course now it happens less in a few patches, but I still get sorta wary around the bedrock level...

I'm loving the new building materials of 1.8 as well, but dang the lag and the glitches. It runs entirely HORRIBLY on my PC. The block lag is the worst thing though. Honestly, it's hardly working my PC at all and I can have my FPS through the roof but the block lag continues... It's like I'm playing on a server where I've got a really dodgy internet connection to it, even when I'm playing on singleplayer! It's so annoying, especially considering the snapshots had no lag at all. -_- Also, the sky is glitching out and going black. Making it A. impossible to tell the time without a clock, whatever your level on the surface and whatever your renderdistance the sky just goes solid black. B. utterly distracting. and C. really annoying because it sometimes starts flashing between glitched and unglitched.
I don't know, maybe this is just what I get for trying to summon Herobrine. xD But He could at least show his face if it's his fault? xD

I guess he sort of spawned from when me and KPepper were playing Minecraft and thought the zombie's moaning sounded like them saying "Brrroooo." I made the comment that they were undead frat boys that pound brewskis and get high.
Then KPepper had a zombie floating in a nearby pound for a long time that we called 'Bob' since he just bobbed in the water and wouldn't burn in the sun.
And thus, Bob made it in her comic and inadvertently saved Joque from a watery doom. And the rest, as they say, is history. XD

As I responded to the previous person who made this same comment, I actually held this theory before the Game Theorist had that episode, due to Notch's comment that creepers would have a texture like dry leaves and some other basic botanical knowledge. I was actually sort of happy that the Game Theorist did that episode; I'd intended for this to be a thing in the comic from the get go, but was slightly worried people wouldn't buy it. Now I have a source proving I'm not crazy. XD

Yeah, for the sake of the comic I one day sat down and thought about what exactly creepers and endermen were, and that (without all the scientific factoid GT has) was pretty much the conclusion I drew about creepers.

I shall dub this chicken Mr. Feathers! I'm trying to build myself a mansion and this random chicken suddenly appeared and just stuck around. I named her Chookie
I also came across some new monsters I'd never seen before. I was digging away at some stone and out popped a couple of grey things from it that looked a bit like mice. One of the little buggers pushed me off the edge of a cliff! Have you ever encountered them before?

Nono, this chicken's name shall be revealed next comic! For it is not just any chicken! And it sounds to me like you may have found a couple of silverfish! They've been in the game for awhile, but they don't usually show up unless you're in or around a stronghold. At least, that's what they say; My experience has seen them very frequently when digging at low depths in extreme hills biomes. They've also just introduced endermites, but they're purple and only spawn if you throw an ender pearl.
