Description So. Contest for Gaia...

... yet another fad I've suckered into... sigh...

Anyways. I want crits on the piece, any you can think of. Other than character building, 'cuz this is someone else's character. I know what's wrong with this piece now, but it's one of my favorite early arts, so I'm not removing it.

I think I'm most unhappy with the shirt....

I really love how positive, comfy and beautiful the pose looks, and it's always awesome to see artists throw away the usual rectangle canvas and do what they want with the drawing's contours, it looks very refreshing and definitely much more interesting ^^

I find it very hard to critique drawings that I like, so sorry but no crits from me ^-^; I can see a few anatomy mistakes but I like it how they work to make the whole thing more interesting and more, umm, bendy XD and I honestly wouldn't like to see them fixed XD;;;

Overall it's one of the most adorable things I've found on the web lately and it really made my day to have found it through the search engine here on DA ^^ Thank you so much for posting it <3

You know, I've given this type of comment out....
...never *really* thought it could ever apply to my own art for someone....
... which, right now, leaves me at a loss for words...

Thank you for spending the time to leave such a thoughtful and well-intentioned comment. *takes a peek at your gallery* And from such a wonderful artist as yourself....

*suddenly, Adopt squeals her delight and runs around her room taking various turns talking excitedly at her dog and looking out the window*

But really. It's a honor to know that I have made someone's day better by doing what I love to do.

I can't help it. You were looking for contortionist deviations when you found it, weren't you?

Hehe, well yes, I was searching for contortion, it's the first form of art I found beautiful because I first saw it very early when I was 5 or so, of course I discovered literature earlier because parents would always read some fairytales but I'd always take that for granted but contortion was something unexpected, it looked different from everything else and I really loved looking at contortionists, and so since then I just keep loving different things I guess o.o Or more like things I wouldn't expect to see... my gallery is full of oddities too Often it leads to misunderstandings on such a huge site... but when I see something I like in other artist's work it makes me happy on many levels ^^

That's a rather unique story you've got there. At least, from where I stand... not that it matters. You are very lucky to have found something that you really love so early. I suppose my equivalent would be smiles... but I digress.

I can see that happening. The misunderstandings, that is. And again, I'm very glad my work can make you smile. :3

Lookin good! You'll get it for sure! (I'm not a critic, so I see nothing wrong with it. Please don't stone me.)

The feet are the only things that seem a bit funky to me. The toes seem out of proportion and the first bump on the 100% visible foot looks a bit sharp, other than that I think it's really good. Nice risk-taking with the pose C:

Thanks! Good to have crits. :3
Yeah. Actually, someone else pointed out to me that the feet are on the wrong legs. But I suppose it doesn't matter too much when you're all sewn up.
