'Asterix' was one of my favourite series growing up. My cousin had a bunch of comic books and whenever I'd come over, I always nagged him to let me read them. We would also watch the animated movies together, although dubbed so I didn't get to appreciate the beautiful French language early on.
This entry was easy and difficult for me to draw at the same time. Easy because I had the idea in my head from the start, so all I had to do was rely on a reference to get Obelix's shapes and lines right - and difficult for the exact same reason!
I was considering "cleaning up" the stray lines but there is actually something rough about the lines in the comic, and I think that overall they add quite a lot of character to the drawing, so I left them. No regrets.
