I think most people in the northern hemisphere are wanting warm weather right about now

This is a very nice piece in my opinion. The reflections look awesome, the mountains are quite skillfully done and the birds add a nice touch to the scene. Overall clean, crisp feel to the whole thing.

A few things that caught my eye, however, are mostly focused around the land. As previously mentioned, the rocks look quite strange. Perhaps most trivially, I can't help but wonder why the leftern-most rocks are really dark on the side not facing the sun, while the rocks on the right (closer to the camera) don't get nearly as dark. Additionally, they seem unnaturally rounded, although perhaps some modifications with displacement and bump-mapping could work around that. Also, there seems to be a slight blurriness to the trees, which I'm not sure how to describe. As a closing thought, adding some motion blur to the birds (just a little bit) might make them seem more natural, although they fit in quite well as it is.

Overall, a very well put together scene! Sorry if my comment seemed long-winded! Keep it up!

No problemo, I appreciate critique -- the rocks are supposed to be worn smooth by water, the left most rocks are of a different material than the others hence the color differences.
As to the blurriness to the trees I have no idea as I'm not seeing that

Thanks for the overall complimentary comment and for ing it too

Hm, up in the Sierra Nevadas the people who live there say the only month (singular) they've never gotten some snow was August.
