commish for who asked me to draw this loverly pair under a tree at mid afternoon with Curse (green) giving Kyro (purple) a rose.There are a ton of mistakes in this I know - I'd point them out to you, but I'm still clinging to the chance that some of you just might not notice ...
I had big fun with the clouds and background of the picture which only took a day
. The grass was not done with a grass brush, just a load of upward green strokes with a softish round brush, same with the clouds - all 'freehand'. The leaves were a brush tool, but has been heavily edited, smudged, drawn over and colored. The brush was more of a vague base than anything else. Scales again, each drawn individually. It's long and tedious - especially since there were two dragons in this picture so had to be done twice- but pays off
.

I really like this artwork, and love the colors and the characters look interesting.
I know this is for a commission, but may I do an inspiration off this? ^ ^" I have an idea for my own characters, and this gives me an idea. Only one of them wouldn't be happy.

Weeeee, it stretches to the edges of my screeeeeen! (Sorry, I'm feeling in a weirdly silly mood. xD ) Anyway, your magnificent work never ceases to amaze me, and this piece sent my brain on an overload for words on where to begin. But to start off, I really love the atmosphere you've captured for this piece. It's flamboyant, idyllic and almost heavenly in nature, providing such a calming ambiance for the setting of the picture, and the background itself is stunning! I like how the grass closest to the front is blurred to give the picture perspective, and the clouds provide the composition with such depth that a picture really desires. Meanwhile, the tree offers an almost tropical, natural feel to the image to match the mood, and the dragons themselves are gorgeous! Their anatomy has the impression of that which you might find in felines, making them regal, and seemingly placid like a gentle giant, and their anatomy is perfect. I like the way the male's wings sag respectfully, almost bashfully, while the female's wings are upraised in a seemingly surprised and flattered manner to match her posture and position. 
Sorry, I just HAD to express all that, but this is fantastic.
