Pandora and Springstep attend to the dying Karl.This is an illustration for the conclusion of the Pandora and Karl stories by Bernard Doove - which you can read here: [link]
I have had quite a history with these two characters, as I've been drawing them from the beginning - so this picture was very sad for me.
Inks and acrylics on 9"x12" illustration board.

the human is Karl, the one who is holding his hand is Pandora, and the chakat is Springstep. And this is from Bernard Doove's book called Life's Dream

I love all the chakat and taur stories from Forest Tales, but I think this one was my favorite, and such a sad ending, I cried so badly.

I am a heartbroken dreamer. I wonder where my dreams will take me next. I hear the cries of torn hearts all around me. I see beyond my veil of dreams. I want paradise, a home. this picture is beautiful , i got the book from amazon and its one of those books you cant help but fall in love with and this scene is so tradgic as you read the book you fall in love with the charecters as you go through there trials. beautiful art

I just finished reading the Foxtaur series, and I have to say that out of all the work you have yet done for Mr. Doove in general and for this story in particular, this the most touching for me.
