Description
A clouded leopard practicing her swordplay in a rainshower...I'm rather fascinated with Ancient China, and the artistic cinematography in Hong Kong kung fu movies set in Ancient China, such as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", and "Hero" - which provided inspiration for this piece.
I also wanted to really have a setting that felt real - that felt like the character was really immersed in the setting - using lighting, perspective, and the rain to unify the piece.
This was a difficult piece for me, but also a very fulfilling one, in the challenges I posed for myself. I think it is too early for me to really say how well I did at those challenges, but I think it was definately worthwhile, and I'm proud of it

This is AMAZINGLY well done the detail,shading,color scheme,depth,background,foreground,and the concept rival that of professional quality there are SCARCE FEW who could something of this magnitude and so well it is CLEAR to that you ARE going to go far in the world of art and I wish you well. Love it, this is truly great ! I like cat people/khajit, but I think your painting would have worked even better with a real human being, because all in all, it tells a story, of a woman training in the snow, in front of some mystic temple, and she being a cat doesn't bring anything to that.Β
However, I love leopards so, yeah !Β

Finally decided, after making a plot in my head during sleepless nights to atleast try and write this story. If I ever finish it I'll give you credit for inspiration, and a link to this wonderful masterpiece.

I can see the long, hard hours you've worked on this, all the little details makes it feel so real.
The rain running off her sleeve, the roof, and the statue. The lighting of the windows and steps, the cobbled stoned ground, and the shine of her sword just bring it all together.

About the only thing I see in this picture is that if she keeps on practicing with that sword and it turns into a thunderstorm, she could get knocked on her tail by lightning.
