For every day of October, I will be drawing (and uploading here) one Dark piece of Fanart. [details on my main page]
Well, you all knew I was going to draw Dark SOMETIME this month. I figured, why keep you waiting? ^_- Ugh, this took so LONG, though! Seven hours straight from start to completion. ...I can't afford to do this much work every day. >>;; The two boys were drawn seperately in open canvas, then assembled in adobe photobusiness deluxe. The background is half new, half recycled. And I worked HUGE, leik woah. I think the original size was 1600x2133. Yikes.
Red fairies are a Goddess-send in OoT.

One: I hart the whole Link, Dark Link thing. They always make for good artwork (all that shounen-ai business put aside).
Two: the expression on DL is simply.... there is no word. *blink* It's just so perfect!!! It's very much incharacter too.

If Link gets a deep wound, like that one on his arm, but it gets healed by a faerie, does it still leave a scar?
I'm so psyched October started! I always look forward to your moody-men-of-the-month. I'm sure this must be very difficult for you, but your skill with opencanvas is just mindblowing. I especially love your depictions of Link and Dark Link. Regardless of what you might think, they're all lovely. Trust me.

Wow, good question, about the scar thing. You were probably just referencing the whole tree falling thing, but a good question anyway! XD I remember thinking about that... like, two years ago, but in reference to Sheik. That's actually how he got the scar over his heart in this picture: [link]
I bet Link would get some wicked scars from *nods upwards* that. A nice stiched patchwork, more like burn wounds than actual scars, since they magic is hot and basically welding the skin together. Mmmm nothing like a seering hot needle of magic through your skin to wake you up from the dead.

Wow, thank you for saying so. ^^- Actually, though, this isn't photoshop. It's open canvas version 1.1, which is a tiny little free program. The "photoshop" is actually "photodeluxe," a photo-editing program that happens to have a brush tool, basically. XD I use it just to piece things together, mostly, and to atler contrast or add text, or any other little "final" touches.
And I don't know what you mean about expressions.. I think you latest Saria picture, for example. is gorgeous.

Hah! Fun. ^_^ I like the details of the face, and hair-- oh, and the eyes are great, too. You might want to work a bit on the pectoral muscles, though, because Dark looks a bit like he has cleavage. It might work out better if you didn't draw the line of his chest, and let the shadows define his muscles instead.

That's very odd! Where did you try to catch them? You can find them any time you see one of those eye stones. ...If you play either zelda's lullaby or epona's song, I think, one will appear. And you can bottle it just like a fish. I've done it tons of time, so it's definitely possible...

yes, i was underground in one of those skulltulla holes, played the Song of Storms to the stone, and a red fairy came out. couldn't ever swipe the thing. ;_;

Wow...I love the way how you did Dark Link and the blood on his sword and such. I love Link's expression, and how Navi and D.Link's fairy are fighting. I like how you do a dark picture every day in October, I'm just amazed at how beautiful your pictures are done and how they are drawn and colored. Haha time is the hard part.
I think my October stunt is so famous because... that's the only reason people watch me. XD I get a lot of new watchers for each picture in October, so they remember the event because of it. The rest of the year, I don't post much at all... much less things that are so satisfyingly bloody. XD
But you should definitely try it yourself! It's tons of fun, even if you don't manage to get a full piece done every day. I really enjoy myself. ^_^ And the watchers don't seem to mind too terribly, either. ^_-
