Yes, I finally get to talk about one of my most favorite episodes of all time!
Synopsis
We start off with Fluttershy teaching two young birds how to fly until Rainbowbash being the obsessed nerd that she and all of us are for that matter pestures her about the next Daring Do book in four months. She et gets lost in her own little world resulting in her crashing into the birds nest as the birds now know how to fly, I see what you did there, classic! Some time later Rainbowdash skips marrily to Twilight's library home like the obsessed nutcase that she is and is met by her friends with a national random party day thrown by the other obsessed nutcase that is Pinkiepie. By the way, is Applejack dancing or is she just high on cider?! Rainbow dash then drinks some specially made by Pinkie punch, Gummy flavored I presume, then Twilight gives the news that the next Daring Do book got pushed back another two months and thus a Rainbowdash spit take. Rainbowdash like the typical nerd we all are collapses at the thought she'll have to wait even longer, I feel your pain Dashie, seriously I do. After Twilight talks about the author J.K. Rowling, I mean A.K. Yearling and how much she knows about her including her address Rainbowdash gets the idea to go visit A.K. Yearling and help her finsih the book, or in lamens terms intrude on her privacy and pressure her and tell her to work faster, this is probably was youtube reviewers, analyst, and content makes go through in their daily lives. Though an Indiana Jones/Emperors new groove reference we cut to a map sequence as the main six travel equestria to a secluded house in a forest. Oh by the way if you get lost just follow the red paint trail Pinkie left. The house looks wrecked and the others worry about A.K. Yearling's well being while Rainbowdash is worried that there might be no more books. Face it, that would be any obsessed fans first concern. Then in enters non other than A.K. Yearling herself who of course wonders what happened to her house, the other five try to explain that it wasn't their fault while Rainbowdash tries to keep her inner fan girl under control, be strong Rainbowdash, be strong! A.K. Yearling searches through her house for something and comes across a book containing a gold ring in it. Rainbowdash then eggs on A.K. Yearling to write the book a little faster which annoys A.K. Yearling, fans. Twilight then levatates her out and tells her to respect A.K. Yearling's privacy, then Pinkie points out some thugs entering through the roof. The Surround A.K. Yearling and thus A.K. Yearling strips revealing that she's, Daring Do, Oh my goooooooooooooood! Best twist ever! Yes I am not kidding Daring Do is real, that's so, awsome! Rainbowdash and Twilight are of course needless to say shocked, and quite frankly so am I, I'm dead serious the show was so overwhelming and I love it! Then we get an awsome fight sequence over the gold ring, wow, this show is really stepping up it's game, they actually have a real fight! As the main six watch in disbelief at the fantasy become reality Rainbowdash accidentally distracts Daring Do resulting in her losing the ring to Dr. Caballeron. With Daring Do subdued Dr. Caballeron explains that he plans to sell the ring to Ahuizotl for a big sum of money while Twilight and Rainbowdash have a nerd out. Daring Do pleads not to do let Ahuizotl not to get the ring as he intends to doom a valley to unrelenting heat. Dr. Caballeron and his hench ponies leave Daring Do as she struggles to stand on her sprained ankle and Fluttershy ask if they should go help her. Doeh?! Daring Don bandages her ankle and the main six try to help her but she refuses their help and leaves on her own. Rainbowdash wants to help but Twilight says that she works alone and thus they have another nerd out as the others stare own as I'm pretty sure they have no idea what they're talking about. Huh, so this is how others see us when we geek out. Twilight finally agrees and Rainbowdash flies off leaving the others behind. Rainbowdash Spots Daring Do who has miraculously healed somehow and she lands to go meet her. Rainbowdash still trying to process her fictional hero being real and I don't blame her I still had some lingering shock after my first watch tries to maintain her composure by slapping herself silly. She gets jumped on by Daring Do who realises she's just another of her fans then leaves to continue her pursuit and Rainbowdash stalks her along the way like any obsessed fan would and continues to fangirl like an obsessive nutcase. Rainbowdash begs her to let her tag along and I mean all the way, on her knees and everything, Daring Do says she works alone since you never know who you can trust and Rainbowdash says just because you can't trust some doesn't mean you can't trust everyone. Hey a moral! Daring Do says she doesn't have time to argue and Raibowdash agrees and flies ahead leaving a pretty frustrated Daring Do. at night they come across Dr. Caballeron's campsite and Daring do rubs mud on her face okay, then smashes her hat in, and puts leaves on her face was Rainbowdash just continues to ramble to herself. And thus we finally see what's the plan, Daring do plans to by the ring back by disguising herself as a leprican? And in classic Looney tunes style it works and the Ahuizotl rips through some tries attempting to get the ring, oh my gosh he does exist! Dr. Caballeron and his hench ponies run away with Daring Do's money leaving the ring and Daring Do and Ahuizotle fight over it. Rainbowdash hides in the bushes and watches and we get a funny proposal line, clever girl, followed by a Rainbowdash rape face that I knew would become a meme. Ahuizotl then calls out his hench cats which include a jaguar, a tiger, a lynx, a cheetah, and a cute little house cat, awww, can I keep it, can I keep it. Daring Do then has another epic fight, this time with the cats, awsome! Rainbowdash again caught up in the moment and having her brain still at work fight off the shock tries to give Daring Do back her hat, Ahuizotl grabs Rainbowdash and Daring Do being distracted gets jumped by the cats and tied up, oh and the house cat has a black eye. Ahuizotl then tosses Rainbowdash away and takes Daring Do to the temple fortress, and Rainbowdash realizes that she just screwed up big time. By morning her friends finally catch up and meet a very distraught Rainbowdash, they say they should help Daring Do but Rainbowdash tells them Daring Do doesn't need her and that she'd only make things worse again. Here friends try to talk some sense into her but to no avail. Then Twilight tells her that it's fine to look up to Daring Do but she's put her so high up on a pedestal she can't see her own self worth anymore, hey, is that, another moral?! After some more talking through we cut to the fortress where Daring Do is shackled to a wall above a chamber of piranhas. Ahuizotl then goes to place the ring to unless eight hundred years of sweltering heat and starts filling up the chamber leaving Daring Do to drown, if she doesn't get eaten alive first. Daring Do manages to losen the bricks buckled to freeing herself and about to fall into the piranha infested water then it's Rainbowdash to the rescue! Daring Do breaks the bricks off her hooves and Rainbowdash gives her hat back, she then tells Rainbowdash that she works alone and Rainbowdash says she doesn't. Daring Do composes herself and finally accepts the help and they go to stop the ring placing ceremony. We cut to the ceremony with Ahuizotl and some, tribal ponies? The other 5th then come in and Applejack can't remember his name, don't feel bad Applejack, it took me a while to remember his name too. Pinkiepie jumps in and steals the ring and it's time for a game of keep away! Rainbowdash and Daring Do then get to work together removing all the rings from the pole as removing the bottom one will destroy the fortress. Daring Do also explains that she wanted to get captured so they'ed bring her to the fortress but didn't count on how heavy the ring woldd be and says having help can be handy sometimes, well what do ya know, Daring Do learned a lesson. Ahuizotl gets the ring and realizes what Daring Do is doing, he and the tribe ponies try to stop them but it's too late, the pole disintegrates and Rainbowdash and Daring Do fly off with the bottom ring out of the fortress narrowly escaping Ahuizotl's clutches and the other five escape as the whole fortress crumbles to the ground thus saving the day. Ahuizotl gets out the clitche revenge line and Daring Do and Rainbowdash destroy the bottom ring as Daring Do tells Rainbowdash she couldn't have done it without her and tries to greet her with a hoof shake only to be greeted back with a tight heartfelt hug. Aww, so touching. Daring Do then flies off into the sunset saying she has a book to finish and we cut to Rainbowdash writing the first diary entry which just so happen to be the two morals we learned earlier, about trust and putting your heroes on a pedastal. Rainbowdash then recieves a package and it just so happens to be the next Daring Do book two weeks early, and hey look Rainbowdash is on the cover, this is so gonna go to her head, and she's Shortround, the end. No dream, no dream, this adventure with Daring Do was real, yes! Awsome! I really hate it when these adventures turn out to be all in their head, thank goodness Dave Polsky decided not to take that route!
Problems
Really the only one thing I can think of that's wrong is Daring Do's leg miraculously healing, but its pretty minascule and I didn't even notice it my first few times watching, I only found out from watching other reviews.
Praises
Where do I even begin! Okay first I guess I could talk about how Rainbowdash and Twilight Sparkle parody fandoms! If Read it and Weep represents what bronies use to be then Daring Don't represents what we are now there are so many moments where I looked at them and thought, yep that's us alright. From things such as Rainbowdash waiting for her Daring Do book, kinda like how we've been waiting for season four, to Rainbowdash and Twilight Sparkle having a nerd out, kinda like how fandoms go overboard and get into battle of the nerds! Now let's see what else, A.K. Yearling is Daring Do! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Sorry I couldn't contain myself. Thank you Dave Polsky, thank you, thank you, thank you so much, making Daring Do, you're so awsome! Now that's how you do a reveal, take note Josh Habor. Is this a little surreal, maybe, but come on it's a show about magical talking ponies, I can suspend my disbelief. And oh my god, so much action, yyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeee! This is My Little Pony right? And the humor, oh god the humor! Seriously this is perhaps the most fun I've ever had with any episode! Dave's strongest point has always been humor and my god he really cranked it up in this one! Seriously, this puts Too Many Pinkie's to shame. From all the fangasming reactions of Rainbowdash to the group standing at the window trying to process that this is all real to that proposal line with Awhuizotl followed by that face,oh god that face to playing keep away with the ring! I have never smiled so much while watching an episode before! This is definitely an episode I'll be revisiting time and time again. Congradulations Dave Polsky, you are just an amazing writer! This is by far my most favorite Rainbowdash episode to date! Wish I could meet my favorite fictional heroes for real.

Yeah this is one of my old reviews from when I was starting out, not particularly proud of how they were when I started out. I'll probably redo this episode review later on like I did with my It ain't easy being breezies review.
