Introduction
So another Discord episode, after a not so good episode in Three's a crowd episode can Natasha Levinger turn things around and prove that Discord can have enjoyable slice of life episodes centered just around Discords antics with little plot and more focus on just comedy. The answer is yes!

Synopsis
  We start off in Fluttershy's cottage where Fluttershy is spending some time with Discord, well it's about freaking time! All this time we've only ever been under the assumption that Fluttershy hangs out with him the most but up until now we've never actually seen them hanging out. Fluttershy then tells him about a friend named Treehugger whom she met on her trip to see the breezies. Okay two things, one nice continuity node to Three's a crowd this season is just chalked full of continuity nodes, second Treehugger's parents must be really cruel to give their daughter a name like that. Fluttershy mentions that she invited Treehugger to the upcoming Grand Gallaping Gala, much to Discords dismay as he's not invited, so he leaves clearly with a bit of jealousy lingering and does a pretty lame job hiding it, and intro.

  Spike is sleeping, till Discord pops in and threateningly as where Twilight is, Spike says she's helping with the Gala, then Discord poofs away leaving the little fire breathing punching bag to deal with nightmares. At the Carousel Boutique Rarity is outfitting the CMC for their Gala dresses until Discord pops in wondering if Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbowdash have invited anyone, yes their sisters/sister figures. Discord then leaving desperately wanting to get away from the CMC's annoying shouting and I don't blame him, I'd get out of there too as soon as possible. At Sugarcube Corner we get a nice Solid Snake reference before Discord then ask Pinkie if she's invited anyone, Maud, Discord then see's Fluttershy with Treehugger and poofs away leaving Pinkie with all the cakes that he ordered. Discord then meets Fluttershy and Treehugger and turns out, she's a hippie. Discord badly plays it cool and leaves for home, which assume is some strange parallel demension that runs on Discords own nonsensical rules. As Discord throws a pouty fit the mailpony comes and gives Discord his mail, and a ticket to the Grand Galloping Galla, how the mailpony found his way into this demension or if he's even alive after being carried off by some strange creature is anyone's guess, jesus that's dark. So Discord is going to the Gala, with a certain someone in mind.

  Later that night Discord makes his grand entrance with his guest, the Smooze. This of course raises Twilight's concerns and tells discord to keep things under control. Discord spots Fluttershy with Treehugger and decides to join in on them with the Smooze. During they're small talk Smooze wonders off I guess trying to eat the other guest thus Discord goes to try to keep him under control by locking it outside, then getting back to Fluttershy and Treehugger. It isn't long till Smooze starts causing more trouble and Rarity comes in all smoozed up and apparently Smooze's favorite snack is jewelry. Discord cleans up Rarity leading up to a funny joke that would be inappropriate if they were humans and locks the Smooze ina a closet of all sorts of jewelry, this can only go so well. Discord spots Fluttershy having a good time with Treehugger and literally gets flaming made, then tries to win her over with stand up comedy and pretty much gets owned by Maud.

  The Smooze breaks out super sized and smoozes up the whole party. Treehugger however in somehow manages to calm the Smooze down in a why that only she understands. This impresses Fluttershy and Discord has had enough and decides the best way to handle this friendship triangle is to, send Treehugger into another demension, yeah I'm sure that's how you keep your friends. The other main six try to stop him but he siks the Smooze on them with a disco ball. Fluttershy then confronts him telling him that just because she has another friend doesn't mean they aren't friends anymore. Discord then realizes that perhaps imprisoning Fluttershy's other friend may have been a bit overboard. So he closes the portal, returns the SMooze back to normal size and all apparently a simple sorry was enough to excuse Discord nearly plunging Equestria into chaos again, okay. And the Gala continues as Twilight apologizes to Celestia for the Gala being ruined, and turns out Celestia enjoyed it which is why she invited Discord. Twilight, you think you would have learned from the last Gala that a Gala destroyed is a great night for Celestia.

Final Verdict
  This was a really fun episode packed with lots of great stuff. Including references such that Solid Snake reference. We get to see where Discord has been staying. A new pony that makes hippies canon in this show. And while I'm neutrual on the Smooze returning I'm sure there are others out there who appreciate another G1 element coming into G4. I've never seen the original G1 Smoozes so I can't really say how he compares here with his original counterpart. That standup comedy act where Maud just pretty much burned Discord, you're the most basic of jokes, priceless! If I had to pick a problem with this episode I guess it would just be that the CMC seemed extra shouty in this episode, I don't know, I can't help but feel they were kinda flanderized here as all they do is give out they're group shouts constantly, but it's not that big a problem. So all in all, yeah, love the episode, nothing too deep as far as morals go, a basic multiple friends moral but like I said it was a ton of fun! Great to have you Back Natasha, you're really turning out to be one of the greatest new talents in this show!
