I had fun finding some different effects to pre-texture it, now I still had not found a way to color it a few hours later, but I'll keep on searching

Holy shit I had no idea you could do something like that in Apophysis. May I ask what settings you used? My fractal flames look like blobs in comparison.

Thanks ! This flame I shared the parameters for some time ago in this fav.me/d3ylk2g journal. It's a LazySusan with some 'lissajou' (not sure this plugin still exists) and linear transforms.

I'm loving this Escher-like style with fractals, especially since people are getting the hand of B&W for a gradient. Really makes it stand out and lead you in; great work!

Terrific shaping and I love the little lissajous in each band.
How are you doing them in black and white and then coloring it? For me, coloring a fractal is all done at the same time as the shaping, I never get such clean lines.
