Description
Fauna (also Bona Dea), Roman Goddess of fertility and daughter of Faunus.I've been playing around using other materials with the white ink on these pieces to create different textures and effects... mostly oil pastel and coloured pencils.
Watercolour, various inks, oil pastel and coloured pencil on watercolour paper. 22x16 inches.

Beautiful. I love the elegant tracery and all the intricate lines. Her skin/fur looks like the ocean, with its myriad shades of blue and green, and I love her bark-branch hair.

Amazing work here. I've used watercolours and pastel in the past, and I found them very difficult. You are truly talented for mastering them !

Thank you. I could never get the hang of them in the past, being more accustomed to oil paints and acrylics, with which it is much easier to correct any mistakes or make major changes.

Any new medium is tough. I've watched by brother whip something up in Illustrator or 3D Studio Max in almost no time and I am in awe at how simple he makes it look.
You're doing a wonderful job. So keep it up
