She is attached to the lake, very much like a nymph. I'm working on a series of illustrated short stories/fairytales, which will include this one in more detail.

I'll look forward to it. Also, there is this amazing fairy tale(I don't know what it's called or where it originates) about a Princess taken from her kingdom by a witch and banished to a lake. I can't remember if her soul was stuck in the lake or if she was the lake, but when I saw your paintings it just made me think of that story. And besides the whole kidnapping thing, I wonder how the princess would feel about this kind of situation. Maybe she would feel attached to the living things in the lake. It would be her own kingdom where her subjects would need her to live. Maybe she'll never want to leave and could be too attached to her own prison to want to be rescued. Ohh, drama! But, I'm sure you have your own thing in mind. Hope that doesn't sound too stupid and sorry for the long comment.
