Today I finally finished Dark Souls — it took me neary 82 hours over the course of more than a month! What an experience!This painting took a little less time, fortunately. Nice how both projects more or less got finished at the same time — so this is sort of my celebration.

Wow great piece right there! Love the detail of the armor and the crest shield! Its so nice. I just finished the game today myself. Already on NG+. Probably one of my top favorite games of all time! Wonderful job!

Originally I planned on forging it into a fire sword - but alas, I missed some vital shards or somethings, and I ended up not doing it. Perhaps when I play through it again I#ll find the right ingredients.

Had a similar looking character myself but had normal night armour torso as didn't like the livery on the elite knight armour. Started again now as a unarmed enigma (club and plank shield) loving the game glad i bought the limited edition. Love the picture awesome

The Zweihander is a good weapon, and you find it so early in the game too..

Otherwise you would not be able to attack with the Zweihander properly or am I wrong?^^

Not quite. I used the elite knight armor at the first half of the game, and later switched it around a lot. For the last third or so, I looked like this: [link] (I'm a Knizard!)
When I started the painting early during my playthrough, I was inspired by the elite knight armorset. Later I thought about changing the character around to more closely resemble my ingame model, but it didn't work and looked off, so I stuck with it the way it was.

Ah I see. Cool design. Ya it's really great armour fully upgraded. out of curiousity what soul level are you and what playthrough are you on. I find the game so addicting that I'm nearly on my fourth playthrough and level 181.

Thanks for asking ^^ I am close to Lvl. 100 I think, and started my second playthrough — I found it to be a little too easy though, much of the brutal appeal was lost once I could breeze through enemies and bosses alike and knew what was coming anyways. I love the NG+ feature (every game with character progression should have it), but after over 80 hours spent on my first playthrough, I needed a break for a while. I will replay it sometime in the near future, of course. And I am sure it will get challenging again soon.
I can't wait for a sequel with new lands to explore and die in!

Ya, but a lot of the later bosses get buffed up a ton (Four Kings and Gywn the most, or at least to me they seem to). So the first few bosses shall definitely be easy but later, they become tough.
I'm trying to platinum it currently. Only three more trophies.
