Rise of the Kaiser

Kaiser stood before his master as the other aliens looked on. Bagan sat upon his throne, looking absolutely livid at his apprentice. It had only been less than an hour since he’d sensed the destruction of the Vortaak Warship. And now he was looking down on his servant with contempt. “You have failed me, Kaiser.”

“Yes….master.” Kaiser simply said, with his head lowered.

“And surely you have not forgotten my low tolerance for failure.”

“No, master.”

“No, indeed. As such….” His horns then ignite, and a bolt of lightning shot out of his central horn to electrify Kaiser. The kaiju screeched in agony as his body was assailed by his master’s unholy power, and he fell over to his side as he writhed in pain. The other aliens looked on in either amusement or fear of their master’s wrath. Megalon, for some reason, felt a sense of pity for the skeletal warrior as he was tortured. But after a few minutes, Bagan ceased his cruel action, and said, “let this remind you that I will brook no failure - not from anyone, nor for any reason.”

Kaiser slowly got to his knees in a bow, and shakily said, “Y-yes….master.”

But then Bagan raised a finger, and said, “However…..given my investment into your creation, I am willing to grant clemency - provided you undergo a final experiment to complete your evolution, and surpass Novus Ghidorah.”

“How can I do this?” Kaiser asked in curiosity.

“I’m glad you asked, my friend.” said Karkaro via a holographic projection. “As the Emperor said, the time has come to complete your transformation. We have harnessed enough Crystal energy to begin your metamorphosis. With this power, we will make you invincible!” he proclaimed.

“And this will be your chance for redemption, my apprentice.” Bagan said. “Do you accept?”

Wishing for nothing more than to please his master, Kaiser nodded his head, and prepared for the procedure. “Excellent.” Karkaro said. “Activate the transfer streams!” he commanded to his troops. From the sides of the Cryog command ship appeared strange devices that began firing energy into Kaiser’s body. He began roaring in exertion as he began absorbing the energy, trying to cope with the power flowing into him. He was doing his best not to let the power overwhelm him. Thus far, he was succeeding. And the fruits of the Cryog’s labors began to sprout when Kaiser began to physically change. Not only was he growing in size, but he was sprouting new limbs in the form of two massive wings. His armor morphed, and turned to gold. And three heads grew from the already existing ones. No longer was this merely Kaiser anymore. This was something far more terrifying.

This was the Kaiser Ghidorah.

“It’s working!” Karkaro cried with mad glee. “Magnificent! Ahahahahahaha!”

A few hours later…..

After their battle aboard the Vortaak ship, Godzilla and Tristan decided to take a rest off the coast of San Francisco. This gave them a better time to heal, and recuperate from their fight. And it was here where they sensed something terrible was amiss. “You can feel it, too?” Godzilla asked the alert Tristan.

“Yeah. It feels familiar. Like...like-”

“Ghidorah.”

“Exactly.”

“Then let’s go, and make sure this doesn’t get out of hand.”

When the two arrived, they were surprised to see the rest of their allies had already arrived in Seattle. “Guys? What are you all doing here?” asked Godzilla. Angilas answered by telling him, “Probably for the same reason you’re here: we all sensed something big, and malignant that’s awfully reminiscent of a certain 3 headed dragon we all know.”

“Guess I should’ve figured.” Godzilla sighed.

“Only thing i’m wondering is where is this 3 headed SOB hiding?” Rodan questioned.

It was at that moment, almost as if on cue, that a massive shape came down from the sky. It was a black and gold dragon that looked more like a demon than anything else. Its arms large, and powerful. Its wings wide, and strong. And the crest upon its middle head symbolized its authority, and might as something more than a king. This beast was an emperor in its own right. And yet the sensation of familiarity from this hydra could not be shaken. Its harrowing roar echoing through the city as it stared down the Earth Defenders.

“That answer your question?” Baragon questioned.

“Stay on your guard, guys!” Godzilla said urgently. “Whatever this thing is, we need to expect the worst.”

All the while, the mutated hydra continued stalking towards his quarry. Ready to rip them to pieces at any given moment. Its claws scraping against the hardened ground like paper as it walked. Then, in a surprising move, the beast stood on its hind legs, and revealed its bipedal qualities. The dragon then smiled at the kaiju, and said, “How i’ve waited for this emancipation.” Godzilla almost immediately recognized that voice. When he did, his eyes widened in horror. “Kaiser?!”

“In the flesh.” He then took in a deep breath as energy built up in his throats. Godzilla barely had time to react with an atomic ray when Kaiser fired three gravity bolts at him. The attacks hit head on, and for a while, the two were caught in a reverse tug of war while pushing the other back. Unfortunately, the Ghidoran proved to be the stronger in this violent clash, and overpowered Godzilla. The blast knocked him on his back, and stunned him. This garnered the others to take action. Those with long ranged attacks like Tristan, Baragon, Rodan, and King Caesar fired on the dragon with all their strength, but the enhanced alien merely blocked the barrage with a wing, and shrugged it off. He then shot them off their feet, before turning his attention back to Godzilla. With his gravity bolts, he began dragging Godzilla through the city, and crashing into the largest building.

With a howl, he then raised his heads into the air, and let the gravity bolts strike Godzilla from above. They struck him like lances of golden light, spreading their energy over his body in a deadly grasp Godzilla was too stunned to break out of. Angilas tried to help him, but the dragon swatted him aside with his massive tails, like a massive, spiked ball. Kaiser Ghidorah then let Godzilla drop from the sky, and crash into the city below. Yet there would be no rest for the saurian as he was again assailed by gravity bolts, and dragged across the streets like he was weightless. A mere ragdoll in the clutches of a sadistic dragon hybrid. One who lifted him up again, and then dropped the young king at his feet. With another roar, Kaiser stomped Godzilla’s head into the ground, earning a growl of pain as he squirmed beneath the demonic beast. No matter how hard he pushed against the dragon, he could break loose. And soon enough, he was kicked clear across the city like a ball.

However, this would not be the end of Godzilla’s brutal punishment. Taking hold of him again in Kaiser Ghidorah’s gravity bolts, the hydra began to flap his wings, and take flight. As he did, Godzilla was hauled into the sky with him, and was soon being lifted high into the sky. So high, in fact, he was almost a speck in the sky, no bigger than a flying helicopter. But eventually, Kaiser had enough, and simply released his quarry. Godzilla was helpless, and his friends could only look on as his friends watched him plummet to his untimely doom. The force of his collision caused the very earth to tremble. It was feared the force of the collision would cause another volcanic eruption. The only thing to occur was Godzilla now being rendered unable to fight due to his injured state.

Something that Kaiser Ghidorah intended to capitalize on as he grabbed Godzilla by the neck, and lifted him up so that they could meet face to face. “Now it falls on me to collect payment for the pain you have wrought. Now perish, insect.”

Before he could make a move, however, Rodan suddenly appeared, and produced a thunderclap to one of Kaiser’s heads. King Caesar then delivered a kick to his knee, making him bend as he let Godzilla go. That very same arm was bitten into by Tristan, and his tail was bitten into by Baragon. Angilas took this opportunity to launch himself in his ball shape, and smash Kaiser in the chest, knocking him on his back. He then joined Tristan in biting into kaiser’s right arm, while the former held the left. King Caesar then wrapped his arms around all three heads, while Rodan used his body weight to hold him down. Kaiser put up a fierce fight, but the others held firm to give Godzilla the time to recover.

But all this seemed to do was make the hydra angry.

Gathering his strength, he put all of his force into hurling away King Caesar, then blasting Rodan, Angilas and Tristan off of him. He then hurled Baragon away with a flick of his tail as he stood back up. “Don’t you weaklings understand?” Kaiser roared. “I am no longer that weakling who failed to serve his master! Now, I am almighty! I am alpha, and omega! Your beginning, and your end! And I shall be the one to destroy you all!”

“No.” Godzilla said, as he finally stood back up, glaring at Kaiser. “All you’ve done is show off the real you. And we won’t die so easily to you. We beat Novus Ghidorah, and we can beat you, too.” He then felt it inside. A steady power growing stronger, and stronger as time went on. Godzilla welcomed this growing power. He could sense something was familiar about it, and he welcomed it. If it meant he could put a stop to Kaiser Ghidorah’s madness, then he would welcome it. A bright light began to envelop the kaiju as he roared into the air. All who were present watched in awe as Godzilla underwent a familiar transformation.

Super Godzilla had returned at last.

Kaiser, meanwhile, was dumbstruck. He had read the reports of Godzilla’s defeat of Astaroth via a transformation of some kind. But being in its presence now, he couldn’t believe how much power this creature had. It rivaled even his own. Yet he wouldn’t let that stop him from killing the upstart before him. With a growl, he charged up his heads for a gravity bolt strike. Super Godzilla simply growled, and charged a Crimson Spiral Ray that obliterated Kaiser’s right head. The hydra screeching in agony at the loss of its body part suddenly grew angry, and charged at Godzilla with both claws drawn. Super Godzilla met this charge, and their claws intertwined in a reverse tug of war. Due to his sheer mass, and the strength behind it, it seemed like Kaiser Ghidorah would win. But he was in for a big surprise when Super Godzilla hoisted him by the arms, and threw him overhead to the ground.

The Apex King wasn’t done, however, and was quick to march over, and stomp down on Kaiser’s middle neck with tremendous force. It was almost too painful to watch as it seemed like the hydra would puke out its own throat from the blow. That wasn’t the case, however, and instead, Kaiser was kicked several meters across the city into a bunch of buildings. Giving Godzilla the free range needed to grab the monster's tails, and begin slamming him into the ground repeatedly. All the while, the earth defenders watched in amazement at the display of power at work here. They could see that Super Godzilla wasn’t even straining to smash Kaiser Ghidorah into the Earth, and completely demolish him.

Soon enough, Super Godzilla launched him into the sky above the city, charging an especially powerful crimson spiral ray. Noticing this, Kaiser crossed his arms to block the attack, and used his wings as added protection. The ray fired, and struck Kaiser dead-on. After a few moments, and a roar of anguish, Kaiser ignited in an immense explosion of light before falling back down. Not as the Ghidoran hybrid: but reverted to a heavily injured version of his humanoid form. The ground sinking a few meters from his newly acquired mass as he coughed his own blood out, and began gasping heavily. “Dammit!” He exclaimed. “Not this again! Not when I gained new power!” He was then surrounded by the Earth Defenders, who could only look upon him with contempt, which made him hiss with anger and pain. “And you filthy monsters: how dare you look down on me! DON’T LOOK DOWN ON ME!!!”

A tail slam from Godzilla, who had reverted to his base form, sent Kaiser into unconsciousness as he muttered, “Don’t….look down...on me…...you...worms…”

With the fight over, the group made a collective sigh of relief as they settled in their victory. Godzilla accepting a nuzzle from Tristan as they looked to X’s prone form. “What do you think we should do with him?” Godzilla just snorted, and said, “Let the humans figure that out. I’ve had enough of this slimeball to last me a while now. Let’s just go home now.”

“I second the notion, pal.” Rodan said.

With that, the group left the unconscious, but living form of Kaiser behind. His fate would be seemingly decided by the humans once their forces arrived. Unfortunately, it would not be the humans who would reach Kaiser first. A portal opened to reveal Krystalak, accompanied by Obsidious. The reptilian fiend grinned down at the humanoid kaiju as he said, “Don’t worry: my masters have invested too much in you to let you perish, or be captured by humans. Take him through the portal.” he ordered Obsidious, who did as told, and lifted Kaiser through the wormhole. Just before he followed, Krystalak shared his own parting words of warning.

“Prepare yourselves, kaiju: for Ragnarok is nearly upon us, as is a new beginning for those who are part of it. It will be amusing to see how many of you survive the ordeal when the day comes. Until that day.” He said as he entered the portal.

All the while, Bagan was unsatisfied with this turn of events, and now understood he would need to take matters...into his OWN claws.
