Lord Bagan: Tim Curry (The Lord of Darkness from "Legend") - Given how much i seem to have an obsession over this guy, talk about him, and mention the VA bit, this should come as no surprise. And why should it, anyway? Both tarbano and Faith-Wolff started this idea when mentioning in one of their Q&A's who their fan-cast for the kaiju would be. And Deathwing's VA works for that Bagan because he's a fallen protector, like Neltharion, who decided to become a great destroyer of all things. Sadly, for my series, it wouldn't really work. Because Lord Bagan isn't even of the earthly plain, nor is he what Bagan in "The Bridge" is. Lord Bagan IS the Devil. More specifically, he is the equivalent of Lucifer Morningstar of judeo-christian mythology: one of the greatest angels/elder gods who watched over, and protected the universe as bid by The One, who is God. But then mortal kind arrives, he sees how easily corruptible, and imperfect they are, and refuses to bow down to them as he and the Zhanglao would to "The One" - his pride is his greatest element. And so he rebels against his brethren (note that The One was no longer around at this time), waged a devastating war in the universe preceding ours, and inevitably destroyed it. And his TRUE essence - his soul - was imprisoned in a realm equivalent to Hell. But his physical form still existed in our universe, and he used it as a puppet to carry out the events of my series. I could go into further details, but i've already done so in other entries. What i haven't done, however, is explain why Tim Curry is, for me, the only real candidate suitable for this role. For one thing, Tim Curry has been a staple actor throughout history, along with many, many others. And almost always has he played the role of a villain. The kind who happens to be a show stealer, i might add. Funny enough, those included playing as satanic, devil-figures. Undoubtedly because he knows how to portray the qualities befitting the devil: seductive, tempting, threatening, vile, ruthless, and heartless. One of his best portrayals of this Arch-type is in the Ridley Scott movie, Legend. In it, he plays as the villain of the film, Darkness, who represents the classic red-skinned, bull-horned depiction of the devil. Either way, its an incredible performance because A) the makeup and costume he wears holds up even today - to the point you find it hard to believe it's him under there. And B) when his voice's pitch is lowered.......oh, how inhumanly terrifying he sounds. Deep, booming with authority, and wickedness. And the fact his voice always echoes as if here were in a grand hall make it even more effective. To put it simply, Tim Curry is another excellent Devil Portray-er among many others. And with Lord Bagan's demonic influences, and inspirations, it's only fitting he have a voice that matches the sort of evil he possesses. And only with half less "ham" to go with it.Alien Empera/Empera Seijin: Neil Kaplan (Emperor Zarkon from "Voltron: Legendary Defenders") - The original Voltron series is a classic. Of that there can be absolutely no denial. Yet like any 80's series, it had its faults which prevents it from stemming to perfection. One example being the original Emperor Zarkon, who from what i saw never gave me the impression of being a true threat, or someone to take seriously. Not to mention how silly his old design was. But now, i dare everyone to compare that.....to Emperor Zarkon of the recent "Voltron: Legendary Defenders", and say they have ANYTHING in common outside of ruling empires, and fathering Lotor. Because the rebooted version of Zarkon would curb-stomp, and then make his original counterpart into his peon with no effort. In a sense, he's another modern-day Anakin Skywalker, but with a more original backstory that differs from the former. Because he WAS a noble leader before he was corrupted in the heartless, emotionless, brutal, intimidating, imposing, and cruel tyrant he is today. And Neil Kaplan has refined his voice to give that evil, sinister vibe that makes Zarkon into what he is - which also includes being an obsessive, compulsive tyrant. In fact, by the end of the cast's recording sessions, which involved Neil Kaplan, he sometimes had to give everyone a friendly hug afterwards because of how he frightened them with his performance. That's the sign of a talented villain actor. And Empera Seijin has much of the same personality traits as Zarkon, but with some of my own additions thrown in. But for the main point, he is a fearsome enemy who has a commanding presence about him which gives everyone in "The Shadow of Evil", and out, who is in charge - under Lord Bagan, of course. Much like his counterpart, he is someone strong you do NOT want to cross. But i think Neil Kaplan's performance would make you think twice about doing so, anyway.
Necrotherius/Necrotherium: Clancy Brown (Rhazar from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012") - So here's the first official double casting decision. And Clancy Brown was the lucky guy who got to do it. The kaiju which he would voice is the necromantic monster known as both Necrotherius in my series, and simply Necrotherium in the Daizua123 series. Necrotherium is a gruff, aggressive, and violent foe in combat who borders along the lines of a berserker in combat. Like a vicious predator engaging a rival over food. But he's still a rational individual when not fighting - unless someone gets him angry. And after thinking it over, i finally felt that Clancy Brown would be a fitting choice to voice him when he's channeling the rebooted Rhazar of the TMNT2012 series. Aside from a few funny moments to tone him down, the Rhazar of this series is a VERY disturbing creature to look at, given how he has a skeleton sticking out of his body. He's basically like a wolf carcass with its coat still on got up, and came back to life. And he has a threatening voice to match. Necrotherium strikes me as someone with a similar kind of voice. And noone other than Clancy Brown can make one as aggressive, and intimidating as he can.
Vastato/Vastatotherium: Fred Tatasciore (Rocksteady from the same series as Rhazar) - Another double-cast, and another reference to the same show. Guess it shows how influential some things can be. Take, for example, the revival of the ever famous villain duo from the 80's TMNT series, Bebop and Rocksteady. Originally, both were bumbling idiots who could barely carry out a task without tripping over themselves. The 2012 series, however, made them a bit more competent than they originally were. Both started off as human criminals, just like before, with Rocksteady being in charge of the Russian mob in NYC. Then he, and Bebop took a dunk in the mutagen, and they pretty much changed. Granted, they still had their base persona's to keep - but now they had a bit more of a comedic edge to them as they should. Because at their core, that's what Bebop and Rocksteady are. The only difference is that they actually CAN be taken seriously as a threat. However, their time as mutants mellowed them down in terms of personality. Granted, the two were still basically super-thugs, but it was pretty much a case of them starting to become folks on the wrong side of things. Especially when they almost helped 80's Shredder, and Krang annihilate their Earth........up until Rocksteady cracked under the idea of loosing Mama Russia. NOONE harms mama and gets away with it. And Fred Tatasciore brings delight to his role as Rocksteady, making the russian rhino a very fun character to watch, and see as he bounces off of Bebop in the comedic duo fashion. For some reason, i felt that that voice was fitting for someone like Vastato/Vastatotherium. A kaiju who basically embodies the concept of Gluttnoy itself, to the point that if his hunger goes out of control, he turns into a feral animal who will eat anything that moves, and destroy everything in his path to get it. But when he's NOT starving, Vastato is pretty mellow. Maybe not on FMA Gluttony's level, but you still get the vibe that he does what he does because he has to - or feels he has to. Especially given his connection to Seijin and Necrotherius. In short, he's probably someone you could reason with, and be on good terms with.....assuming you don't get him angry, or he doesn't reach the pinnacle of his hunger. Fred Tatasciore's Rocksteady thus makes the performance feel good. And you should at least hope he doesn't eventually decide to make you a meal. Boy would that be messy.

XDXDXD And it's funny, because Lord Bagan is also a shape-shifting eldritch horror. Buuuuuut i'm not sure he uses a comedic route when he decides to have someone murdered.

Epic choices once again and Tim Curry as the VA for Bagan...I may end up having to steal that for my own stories with Bagan. XD

I wouldn't call it stealing, as it's just my own opinion. And people can SHARE opinions, and ideas if they like it. Though picking Tim Curry for the big bad was a must.
