In the trailer for Pacific Rim Uprising, we noticed that the Precursors are coming back in full force, but not just with Kaiju... but a few other things as well. For the next few pics, I'm gonna take a further analysis of each revelation for the follow up to my favorite movie of 2013. First up, Kaiju/Jaeger hybrids. We see these guys three times in the trailer attacking a Shatterdome. It clearly looks like the Precursors managed to gather up parts of Gipsy Danger, reverse engineered the tech, and combined it with Kaiju thus making this biomechanical monstrosities. From what we also saw in the trailer, these things are apparently mass produced and, paraphrasing , they appear to be akin to the Putty Patrol from Power Rangers. These things just seem to be nothing more than cannon fodder for the Jaegers while the new Kaiju serve as their elite troops. So, yeah, if the Precursors are retaliating, they are certainly not fooling around and this time they're actually going after the Shatterdomes. No Shatterdomes equals no Jaegers to get in the way of their Kaiju which certainly makes things a heck of a lot easier for the Precursors.

(Also, I want to point out one of Del Toro's ideas for a possible sequel was a Kaiju/Jaeger fusion. Well, looks like he finally got his wish.)
