I seem to favor the Marc Cerasini novel "Godzilla vs. The Robot Monsters" seeing as how it was my favorite one, and this was one of the parts I loved most, the battle between MechaG 2 and Baragon that I believe takes place in Montana. I say believes because it has been a few years since I read it last, and I don't even remember if Baragon breathed fire in the book or not but it makes for a better visual
It was a sadly uneven match WAY in Mechagodzilla's favor, but that seems to be Baragon's lot in life, getting his tail handed to him by superior opponents.Maybe someday he can go up against somebody he can beat, like Devastator or Starscream (just kidding, I love you Baragon <3 )

That was one probably my favorite of Marc Cerasini's Godzilla novels, and the battle was in Montana and he did breathe fire (albeit briefly). Good times.

Yeah, I'd like to see Baragon face someone in his own league someday, or maybe increase his size and strength so he can be a more formidable foe...Godzilla vs Baragon could be interesting if done right, Kong got an upgrade for King Kong Vs Godzilla after all "shrugs"
Excellent pic, nice touch with the glowing horns and fire effect, I wish Baragon had kept those powers for GMK, would have made his fight with Godzilla more interesting. I loved those Cerasini Godzilla novels as a kid, I need to hunt them all down again someday.

Anguirus suffers the life of being beaten by opponents more powerful than himself.

Baragon is low tier trash that is on the same level of Anguirus in terms of being useful. This is painfully lopsided in the mecha's favor

Now that you mention it, none of the dinosaurs have actually won fights. The only one who was competent was Titanosaurus, the others were remarkably useless
Baragon: Neck snapped by giant child and humiliated by Ghostzilla
Anguirus: Gets his throat ripped out, failed to make Ghidorah bleed after biting onto him for a long time, used as a trampoline by Ghidorah, gets knocked out in three strikes from Gigan, indirect hits from Gravity Beams make him roll over, he only does damage when Godzilla holds people in place, got his jaws snapped by Mechagodzilla, had to run from the Karyu, and got koed by a falcon kick from Caesar
Gorosaurus: Got his face broken by Kong, pissed himself at the thought of Ghidorah's unimpressive beams, and only did damage when Ghidorah was preoccupied
Kind of sad, tbh.
