It's the smile on it's face that made me think of that (I was gonna say it reminds me of Jim Carrey 'From The Mask' but it wouldn't make sense). But Overall It's a good drawing.

Smart choice of name seeing that the correct translation of Jet Jaguar in Japanese katakana is actually Jet Jager and not Jet Jaguar. I pretty sure Del Toro calling the robot Jaegers thing is a nod to Jet Jaguar because I doubt the spanish subtitles of Godzilla vs Megalon called Jet Jaguar, AviΓ³n Jaguar. JAJAJAJA

Jet Jaguar and Megalon look incredibly freaking badass.

Gotta confess to mixed feelings regarding PR!Megalon's scrap-metal fore-spurs, but that jagged maw & set of, ehem, beetle brows pretty much fits the bill. JJ's update, on the other hand, strikes a slick balance 'tween current standards of battle-bot detail & his cheery sentai roots. The dark optics & armored 'collar in particular mesh with that updated (and expanded) whale-grin nicely-he just looks thrilled with this line of work.
