Commission piece for KaijuDuke , to celebrate the forthcoming Anime Boston for April 2015, and since Akira Takarada and Haruo Nakajima will be present he thought it would be appropriate to have Goji 54 would be a good subject....fighting the best Zord ever

Awesome! You know...I don't remember him using that shield all that often. I don't know why...I mean it was useful whenever he did use it.
Pretty cool though 
While it is hard to argue that the Megazord is one of the best designed Zords there will ever be....I still sort of like Jet Icarus from Jetman. The series that was the year before ZyuRanger. I don't know what it is about that design. Maybe it is the bird motif. Maybe it is the block like style of the arms and legs. Or maybe it is fact that it is a bunch of Jet planes that form together. IDk.
Still cool artwork though

thanks man. I've got a lot of nostalgia over this megazord but I liked the Thunderzord better, the samurai design was awesome and the sword was wicked. I suppose I can give this one cred though because it's one of the easier mechs to draw from the long history of sentai, honestly....I mean dang some of the designs get intricate.

It was very deep. One of the team members dies at the end. There is a love triangle between the pink ranger and 2 of the other team members. And the main villain is a really deep character. He loses his memories and becomes human and falls in love. In the end...he turns back into his evil form and in an act for pure villainy...he murders the human woman he loved. No...he doesn't spare her and remember there was a shred of humanity in him. No....he outright kills her as she screams with tear soaked cheeks that he has turned back into a badguy.

Ha, that gives me a great thought of putting in a row of spectators watching it at the bottom of the image, all 80s-90s childhood icons. batman, GI Joe, Transformers, various Saban characters, some Marvel people....yeah it'll never happen but thanks for the thought.

Thanks man! This pic turned out great, love both versions of it, if I can't find some appropriate blu ray/dvd covers for Takarada and Nakajima to autograph I may have to bring this puppy out & try to bring it to the convention for them to sign (assuming they don't mind the Megazord on it, & I can avoid getting it crumbled XD...Movie disks and covers might be safer, but we'll see what happens lol). This is gonna be a special convention for me, so regardless, I'm happy to have something to celebrate it early with, many thanks!

I can hardly believe that there are so few Power Rangers and Godzilla pics/fics, especially considering the fact that the Power Rangers fight monsters like Big G on a daily basis. Well, not exactly like Big G, definitely no where near as powerful…… Dead lord, can you imagine having to fight a monster almost as strong a Godzilla daily?!

The best Megazord vs The best Kaiju that both ever lived. Yep. I can definitely see a lot of destruction from this epic clash. Now i just have to wonder which one might win. Because, either way, that place is screwed.

True. You never forget your "first" - which so happens to be the one featured when the franchise was first created.
For me, the 1st Megazord & the ThunderMegazord are my two favorites from the classic, 90s era.

I actually do like the Thunder Megazord more, it's a fantastic design. The individual zords for that one not as much, but I can't complain about the combined form, the samurai look really translated well into robot form.

Yeah, I still prefer it over the Tiger Megazord; & the story behind its look in the sentai, DaiRanger, really touched me.
