Description
The basic figure for Bandai vinyl collectors and younger fans of this incarnation of the character, this Shin Godzilla toy has had many re-issues and editions thanks in some part to the Godzilla Store and Japan Universal, but the only two I felt were vital to have for my own collection was this standard figure and the open-mouthed ray firing version which I've already posted in this gallery.
The toy is a nice representation of the character, though as most have noted it doesn't pop out as well as it could because of the scarce application of red paint that gave Shin that eerie glow, and the hands aren't quite positioned in that creepy grasping position, but other than that it's still a really nice vinyl and a worthy addition to any collection. I did add pinpoint dots to the eyes for pupils just because normally the toy comes with all white eyes, and to me it simply looks all the better to have the corrected eyes with their dead stare.
