This may be the only time you've heard someone say this, but I bought myself a Chinese bootleg Bandai Memorial Box Godzilla 1984 off Ebay with the intention of repainting it, because the asking price for the real version of this toy nowadays is stupid, and I said screw it, buying the boot, praying it shows up because China, and then I'll give it a personal touch, and I freaking love it. It just looks so much better than it did, but the key is that it was vastly cheaper than I would have paid for a copy of the real thing, and I can live with that.
