Description Sadly because I'm restricted to the use of my phone's camera I can't really show off the quality of the paint job on this figure, because it really is the highlight (aside from the beam firing effect).  Neca really outdid themselves with the grades and shades of paint in capturing this beautiful ocean blue glow that looks absolutely fantastic, I love repaints like this.  It's the same mold of course as their standard KOTM 2019 figure but with the new paint and the added firing beam effect which is also a really nice piece, it's mold to fit over his tongue and actually stay in mid-air surprisingly well.
The only complain I have with the toy is a factory defect.  The left leg of the toy wasn't put into the torso correctly somehow, it's hard to see from this angle but the hip is raised too high and isn't flush with the rest of the body so it protrudes out and lips over the top, so from a front or back angle it looks strange, this is the best angle to shoot it from.  It's just annoying enough that someday if I feel inclined I may buy a replacement and give this one to my little brother.

Does this figure have any issues like stiff joints and maybe loose ankles?

I didn't have any issues with mine like other people did, like feet falling off or missing parts or mismatched parts, on mine it was just the issue I mentioned with the leg not being attached correctly.  I really do love NECA toys and I love this figure, but unfortunately NECA has had too many quality control issues of late and it's really a turn off to wanting to buy more kaiju figures from them.

Yeah, it looks nice and all, but I too have had manufacturer issues with this figure. The first one I bought online came with mismatched arms, or rather, a second right arm where its left should have been. The second one was sent to me by the amazon seller I bought it from to compensate me for the defect of the first one (I emailed them photos of the defect as proof), and at first glance it looked GLORIOUS...Until I took it out of the box and discovered that it was missing its entire central row of dorsal spines! Needless to say, I was at my wits end at this point but kept my cool and contacted the seller again (with photos of the new defect), and explained how at this point I wasn't certain if I wanted to risk having a THIRD defective item sent to me or just ask for a complete refund of my money on top of sending both defective figures back. The seller apologized and suggested trying to pop the correct arm off the second figure to replace the mismatched one on the first, thus creating one complete figure with all the right parts. I almost said no, especially since I didn't know if Neca figure limbs could pop out like that, BUT, before I did anything else I did indeed try the suggestion out and fortunately for everyone involved, it worked! I can still tell which limb was the transplant as it were, but it works, and I'd rather not risk buying another defective figure no matter how cool the paint job looks. For the record, I don't think the seller was trying to refuse me a refund or another replacement, just trying to help resolve the issue, and they DID give me a partial refund for all the trouble I went through so I can't be too mad about the whole fiasco. Still, I might be wary of buying new Neca figures in the future, SH Monster Arts maybe WAY more expensive, but at least their quality control seems consistent.

Yikes, what a horror story.  I hate to say it because nobody has defended NECA more than me but this last wave of KOTM toys kinda broke my heart, because even if it's all on the Chinese production side the sad fact remains that the quality control reaaaally sucked, and Neca would seem wise to find better avenues.    There's just been too many stories like this from collectors regarding this line, heck today I'm uploading my KOTM Rodan figure to the gallery and it was the same story, the FIRST one I bought immediately had a wing break off, and I do not rough up those toys.  There shouldn't have to be a second figure purchased just to make up for bad merch.  I do hope they improve their game because I really like NECA, but their stuff has been too fragile too many times, and this is coming from people who just display them and don't even play with them and rough them up.
