I'm a broken record on this point but I think kids these days deserve better than the new normal standard of Playmates paintjobs, so when I picked up Shimo my first thought was I wanted to give it a go-over. The damn pictures don't really do it justice compared to the naked eye but I layered on some metallic ice blues and pearl finish, redid the eyes and I like this MUCH much better than the boring-ass lack of paint the figure comes with. Look, I get it, kids can't afford Monsterarts but I still think they should have something a little better than the way it comes in the package. Shimo itself is honestly pretty cool, kind of a Monsterverse answer to Anguirus, and I look forward to seeing it on the big screen.
