I was going over my gallery for the kaiju collection to pull out some pictures and realized to my shock and amusement that I'd forgotten to formally add my giant figures to the gallery. The Super Premium Godzilla figures that were first released in conjunction with Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla used to be the biggest Godzilla "toys" you could buy, standing around 2 foot tall, which when you factor his bulk and the looooong tail make him pretty hard to fit in a room or a collection. The figure was re-released the following year for Destroyah with a bright red translucent color scheme, but buying one was expensive enough and I definitely won't be buying a second one.
This is basically the item you find in someone's collection that lets you know how insanely addicted they are to their kaiju collecting, but back in the day especially I just couldn't imagine not having my favorite era of Godzilla in the biggest form possible. Someday I'll find an ideal way to set him up, but for now he just kinda sits in the room around the Kaiju Shelf as well as he can, looking like a big pet.
