So I'm smart, naturally when I'm sick I do the opposite of what I should be doing which is resting and getting well I choose to push ahead to meet my self-imposed deadline to finish this month's sculpture/figure custom, which is another entry in the Godzilla: The Series monster cast, by far the hardest one I've put together, The Crackler. This guy was a nightmare to sculpt and assemble, but I'm actually really happy with how he turned out. I'm looking forward to the monster who AREN'T designed like some crazy alien mutant Cloverfield, but it was good to get this one done as it was one of my favorite episodes from the show.

Very good! The Crackler was perhaps one of the best episodes ever, and one of the most unique monsters Godzilla ever faced on the show.

I love his unique design but like I mentioned in the info this one was a trick to piece together. Right now because of money these are all just done with art store clay materials, so this one was a bit of an education in building a figure up in layers. I'm glad for the learning experience but I'm much more looking forward to next month's entry which will be considerably simpler in design

Very nicely sculpted, looks cool!
I'll admit, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a "beat me to it" thought right now. Crackler's on my to do list, however I'm planning on sculpting over Lego Bionicle pieces so I can have it be articulated, like how I did the Skull Crawler and the Cloverfield monster.
Crackler is definitely one of the more interesting of the kaiju from that show. A monster brought to life by one's bottled anger due to his treatment for insomnia. That's interesting. A little difficult to wrap your head around, but interesting.
Definitely cooler then that OTHER monster I know connected to one's dreams....*shudder*, Gabara….
Anyway, I hope you get to feeling better! Go ahead and get some rest, no pressure!

Thanks man, feeling better now, but I like your thought for articulation. The downside to the way I've been doing these of course if that they're basically just little figure statues, but I figured someday if I got the bug to redo any of these with better materials and articulation I've at least gotten some good practice on this run.
