So back around 1998/99 my dad and brother and I used to raid good old KB toys and the Trendmasters Godzilla line was the first serious line of Godzilla figures I bought when I started collecting hardcore, and the silly thing is I saw this figure in the store, but we were on more of a budget so I chose to go with the more popular monsters like Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Rodan, etc, not thinking or suspecting that Baragon, Varan and Megalon would become insanely rare and sought after by the kaiju collecting community. So, 20 years later, here he is, fresh off of Ebay, I said what the heck, these are kinda dreary times and it would be nice to just get a long hunted for treasure item, especially something in the Trendmasters line that I love so much, and now Varan gets to join his monster kin on the shelf for good. Sometimes it's just the simple things that make you smile during a worldwide crisis, like getting a silly toy you've wanted for two decades

Ha, well we were both involved in that same auction, but I didn't win that one either. This guy came up later as a buy it now and I just bought that one. Auctions are pretty rough on these guys
