"Rodan" still hits me in my gut every time I watch it, either version, but in a rare twist the English dub managed to create a beautiful dialog that perfectly summed up how tragic it really did feel. Rodan was the movie I saw as a very young child, and partially because of this dialog, that made me understand how the monsters were something more special than movie villains....they were incredible creatures in the wrong time, for us anyway, and this Golden Age of Toho was what made us fall in love with these beasts.
