I went and built a temporary shelf to hold my kaiju figure collection. Nothing amazing but it'll do until I can get something better. And....yeah. 6 shelves and it still barely held the fruits of 17 years worth of collecting kaiju action figures
Granted it would probably be better if the huge honkers were on the floor and all but still. This is what being an overly die-hard fan with a need to own each monster in plastic form will get you. Godzilla, Gamera and Pacific Rim (and a few other randoms), including my home-made customs.

My collection is MAYBE half that size (and currently mostly in boxes; reorganizing stuff around the house and such), though most of them I've only acquired within the past seven-or-so odd years. Still, this is an awesome collection. The biggest one in mine is just the Horizon one; that super premium figure's just too rich for me (thought I WANTS it)!

I got serious about my collecting after Zilla 98 came in. Internet stores and access to collecting was starting to get a lot easier by that point. G-Fest has been a big boost to the collecting habits as well, the dealer's room there is fantastic. The Super premium was as cheap as I could grab it but still ridiculous, got a deal on it because the tail is somewhat broken, but I wasn't going to complain

I got the Heisei premium from a guy called Dadzilla on ebay for a good price, the Legendary one was a Toys R Us grab when the last movie came out. You can still find them at those stores here and there if you're lucky

It's known around here as "that place where all the money goes". Ok that's not really true, I know fans who pump unbelievable amounts of money into the X-Plus figures which I could never afford. They're the best figures I've ever seen, but holy crap do you have to have independent wealth for those things.

It is, it was a gift from my dearly departed grandma, I played with that sucker constantly when I was little and she was sweet enough to let me have it shortly before she died, it's one of my most beloved pieces for that alone
