I am probably spelling the name wrong, but it sure doesn't roll right off the tounge.These creatures are alledged to roam the dark dank swamps of the heart of the Amazon jungle.
They resemble Tapirs superficially, but they have long mouthes filled with teeth to rend prey apart.
semi aquatic, but are prey themselves for Giant Anacondas, Jaguars, giant Mantises, and chupacubras.
dangerous if cornered
perhaps the last remaining Mesconids ( Andrewsarchus, type hooved predators)
weight: about 400-750 lbs.
