KING KONG

The first kaiju to be known to humanity was King Kong a colossal 45 meter ape found on the ancient Skull Island by Carl Denham in 1933, who foolishly shipped the beast back to new York where Kong escaped and beat a path through the city all the while holding poor Anne Darrow. Kong climbed to the top of the Empire state building where planes were thought to be able to down the beast but only made him angry and only killed him when they shot at his face and eyes causing the creature to lose his grip and fall to his doom where the body was quickly spirited away by the government.
A year later Carl Denham, crippled by personal and federal lawsuits disappears to the place he called Skull Island 2 ( Faroe island), and Jack and Anne Driscoll head for Canada to escape publicity and soon drift into obscurity, Anne, later in life becomes an advocate for Kaiju rights after Mothra and Kong II fought Godzilla on behalf of humankind.
In 1962 a Japanese scientist dr. Yamani discovers Farou island one of the two remaining islands that were once held by the ancient skull islanders who bred the kong apes. A T.V. crew from Tokyo is sent to investigate the story of a new narcotic berry that is supposed to super size animals but instead discover another 45 meter Kong, but only get fleeting glimpses in the thick jungle and jagged landscape. While searching for the kaiju one of the crew was stung by a large wasp and the search returned to the village on the island just as it was being attacked by a giant 30 meter octopus the natives called Odako. The yells of the people and sounds of the giant cephalopod cause Kong to charge through the crumbling wall and after a brief but violent battle the Odako retreats and Kong consumes many large pots of berry juice and goes comatose. Once again an arrant human by the name of Mr. Tako has kong shipped toward Japan but his ship is stopped by U.N. battleships who, not wanting a repeat of the 1933 incident demand that kong be returned to his island home, but the sirens awake the sleeping giant who breaks his bonds and capsizes two warships and heads for Japan. Little did Kong know that the monster Godzilla was in Japan and the two eventually find each other and they face off in the Nasou plains in which King Kong is outmatched by Godzilla's heat ray and retreats to take his rage out on the city. The JDSF decide to lure the two giants together in hopes they would kill each other and after an extremely violent fight the two monsters fall into the sea where Godzilla escapes the ape and Kong quickly surfaces,and no longer wanting to be harassed by humans swims toward his island but instead makes landfall on Mondo island where he would not see another human until 1967. Mr. Tako was arrested and eventually was forced into a sanitarium.
U.N. scientists are sent to Mondo isle to study the animals on the tiny speck of land where Lt. Susan Watson runs afoul of a huge 50 meter Allosaur that would eventually bear her name and was about to be eaten by the dinosaur till her screams wake a sleeping Kong who Hurries to investigate and battles the dinosaur and breaks its jaw, then follows the humans who beat a hasty retreat to their ship but on the way they are confronted by a 70 meter seasnake but it to is seen off by a few well placed boulders from kong. Seeing the huge ape as a test subject Dr. Huu returns to Mondo and capture King Kong, Gorosaurus, and the giant seasnake and after study of kong builds a huge Mechanikong to threaten the world but the real kong escapes his cell in Huu's island base and fights and destroys the robot and returns to Mondo island where he was to stay until the late 1990's when he would again leave his island home, but on his own accord to fight against the growing number of threats to the the world, and even more surprising his and Godzilla's one time animosity seems to have grown into a type of respect almost friendship.
Kong eventually made his home on monster island.
