78mya the great wizard and sage,Barza fought Rita Repulsa and her minions but was defeated by her and trapped in a pocket dimension for all time. It was not until 5,000bc that the robot Alpha 5 channeled Barza's life energy through the great Zordo container and was thus called Zordon from then on. He is suspected to have the gift of foresight as he knew Space godzilla would attack the world and prepared the rangers and zords to help in the fight against him as well as Rita and Zedd.
