Zilla and Zilla Jr are different. Plus I prefer Zilla in the comics. He is part of the Godzilla mythos but he's not Godzilla.

I like this picture. The best incarnation of Godzilla, for me,was from the 1990's. Alsp, Gareth Edwards did a excellent job with the new Godzilla film. Speaking of films, I am currently working on a in-progress treatment called Giant Monsters Attack Tokyo, inspired by a cancelled monster-comedy that would've been done by Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The plot revolves around Gorgilla, greatest of the Kaiju-an, a group of giant monsters, who breaks out of a crystalline prison after thirty years, merging his essence into a human being named Ray Burr. And as the monster marches back to his stomping grounds, a electric malfunction allows the other Kaiju-an to escape from a secret island prison , putting the United Earth Forces, and their allies, the Galaxxians(who once tried to conquer the Earth ) up against the wall. And as monster and man engage each other in Tokyo, far beneath the city, a scorned alien releases a sinister forgotten adversary, the powerful and mysterious Metgouken, and the only hope for Tokyo - and the Earth - may be Gorgilla, the very monster looking to crush the city. ( A example of the twisted humor in this proposed film would take place in Tokyo Bay when, after Gorgilla exhales a weak mist, the ESA soldiers, laughing scornfully. are shocked to see Gorgilla laughing at them; as discovered by a Japanese soldier, the "mist" is actually acidic, and has corroded their weapons.) I should add that Gorgilla would be based on the Hanna - Barbara Godzilla, but with a meaner look as described in one of my Deviantart.com entries for Giant Monsters Attack Tokyo (HB Godzilla is non-canon).
