They look like the Showa Era Mecha-Gs; they (or HE, rather; the second iteration was the first one recovered and rebuilt) were built by alien hands...Mechagodzilla II, Kiryu (Mechagodzilla III), now THEY were built by humans. My guess is that these four were built by aliens and sent to Earth to take on (and kill) Godzilla.
