Fun Fact: Akira Toriyama (Creator of Dragon Ball) was a Kaiju fan. His favorite Kaiju movie series was Gamera. He loved it so much, he made Gamera have a bit of a Cameo in the original Dragon Ball by having him transport one of the major characters from the series. Only differences was Gamera was the size of a tortoise and could talk. It was even referred as "Baby Gamera."

FRET NOT MY KAIJU FAN FAMILY WHO I NEVER MET BEFORE! Even though it was admitted by Akira Toriyama that Gamera was his favorite Kaiju which got Gamera to play a somewhat important role of transporting a major character to an important moment of the series, there has been some Godzilla reference material in Dragon Ball. Unfortunately not a lot on Godzilla himself, however his rival King Ghidorah was an easter egg as he was part of the crowd during one of the Martial Arts Tournaments in the series. I forget which one as there were a total of 3 Tournaments in the series, but like how we like to see two giant monsters fighting, King Ghidorah apparently liked watching two humans fighting each other.
