This is "Machinesaurer" #マシンザウラー Originally created by #GoNagai (apparently!) it was an action figure with a manga series and even tokusatsu commercials!
I just did this for fun - check out his kickass theme song!

Fun fact: One of the characters from the toku Machinsaurer commercials Death Cross got turned into Micronauts' Red Falcon. Wonder if he will appear in the IDW Micronauts comic
Actually no I hope not because it and the other IDW comics based on Hasbro's characters are garbage now due to that whole shared universe bull and I'm sure they'll genderbend Red Falcon like Space Glider and Orbital Defender to appeal to the SJW crowd that doesn't read comics despite companies thinking they do

I think mechasaurer along with Red Baron are the most underrated super robots

For me I'd say the toku verison of Giant Robo and God Robotman from Microman are the most underrated.

Toku Giant robo is the grandfather of toku super robots yet he along with his predecessor tetsujin 28 aka gigantor doesn't get the same love as the megazords

I'd blame that on GR and Tetsujin 28 not airing in many countries compared to stuff like Super Sentai and Mazinger. Hell the 1990's and 2000's incarnations of Giant Robo and Tetsujin 28 somehow are more famous than the originals they are based on (probably because-at least in Giant Robo The Animation's case-many anime distributors around the world picked the rights to them up when they came out)

Fantastic! Now that I'm aware that you're also a Go Nagai fan, I would like to see more of Go Nagai's characters drawn in your style. With that said, would you draw Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Mao Dante or Devilman. It's just something I have always wanted to see.
I would expect to see something from a more well-known Go Nagai character like the few I mentioned before, but I did not even know about this character until now! Just goes to show how incredibly MASSIVE Go Nagai's resume' is! I don't know if you do art requests or not, but I think you would get a kick out of drawing Go Nagai's characters specifically, especially Mazinkaiser!

Apparently, Getter Robo co-creator Ken Ishikawa had a hand in creating this with Go Nagai. He would often collaborate with Nagai a lot. That also explains why the main hero looks like Ryoma from Getter Robo so much. Also, the Machine Saurer toyline eventually got absorbed into the Diaclone toyline by Takara, which is one of the three toylines that ended up becoming Transformers G1. Machine Saurer is the grand-daddy to Grimlock and the Dinobots.

I heard about this cyborg dino kaiju time ago. It would be really epic to see Machinesaurer with an anime adaptation, and get a pretty gory kaiju action with Go Nagai's style.
