This gets me at 2 thoughts.
1.) It reminds me of King Kong vs Godzilla...which I still can't get over in that Godzilla lost to him. I mean in the actuality of it, Kong is like 30 ft! Godzilla's 300 ft! So SQUISH for one thing...oh well.
2.) I am curious, have you ever (and when I say this I'm not trying to insist upon you that you do it, I's just curious) done a picture of "Dragon Caesar/Dragonzord(same zord)?"

Toho King Kong is a different Kong from his American counter part. So comparing him to the original is a mute point, especially since the original was dead & the Toho version was a Gorilla God. Only the bare characteristics were kept between the two.
Plus at the time King Kong was more popular than Godzilla in Japan and Godzilla was a bad guy at that point in the series.

I'm both a Kong & Godzilla fan. The monster fight was awesome and that's what mattered for the film. Hopefully we can get a Tag Team movie with Godzilla & King Kong vs. MechaGodzilla & Mechani-Kong as a sequel one day.

Mechani-Kong is to his right, but he's shooting straight ahead.
I'm not saying that the picture is bad. The picture is flat out awesome, as is all of this artist's stuff, and I know that it was done so that we could...you know...see Mechagodzilla.
It's just that, to have a hope of winning your fight, you have to actually shoot your opponent, instead of shooting in a different direction. Really, though, that part of my post was a joke. In the final analysis, the picture is better for the angles the mechs are facing.

I was just thinking the other day about drawing a picture of old school MechaGodzilla. He is the best out of all of the MechaGs. Awesome drawing! I love how it is in the arctic. A very fitting battle ground for these two steel cold monsters.
