Legendary took one building, took a breather, got back up to kill f.muto, took a nap, went back to the water
Shin is made of atomic waste merged into one abominationΒ
Legendary feeds off nuclear waste, the mutos did too.
Shin has more concentrated fire power in his radioactivity seen by his beams but unstable
Legendary has more control over his but not as volatile as shin's
Shin is scrawny and has chicken wing arms. No Stamina and had to go to the water to cool off multiple times.
Legendary actually looks beefy and has stamina, 2v1'd the mutos, stable being.

imo, if Shin lasts a while during the fight, he would probably evolve to be strong enough to whoop Legendary. Shin has seen to have the power to just evolve and grow stronger out of nowhere.

Not really. A single blast from shin and legendary will be ashes... if MUTO punches can hurt him... i don't even want to know what a kaiju-sized kamehameha to the face can do to him...

If legendary lived near the earth's core or millions of years feeding off of the energy from that to live, the temperature and nuclear energy of shin's beams will do jack all to him. Shin uses it for a few moments and he runs out of juice and has to stop.
Shin is frail and overrated, got downed by two buildings and human made drugs.
Legendary took a nap after the same ordeal and was fine.Β

That's like saying you can survive a high speed, high pressure giant beam of water because you drink it to survive... Punches of big monsters and far more dissipated nuclear blasts can hurt him. Shin, yes, he runs out of juice fast... but he just only needs to do it once... and the fight is over, if legendary is lucky and the fight gets physical then he has a really good chance... but, c'mon... that's not going to happen... he just going to take that beam to his face... and plow! he's death. not overrating... just the true. Legenday is better physical, but you don't need muscles to win a gun fight.

the explosion from a beam clash will stagger shin harder than Legendary, any single opening Shin leaves with how frail and clumsy he is will result in Legendary's win. A point blank Kiloton bomb was shot at Legendary, some run of the mill bombs made shin fall over and stagger to his downfall.

Β I don't have to, i saw legendary, taking a MUTO punch in the neck and screaming in pain, i saw legendary taking nukes and getting hurt... and a nuke is a blast far more dissipated than the insane beam Shin can throw, i saw him getting hurt by a falling building as well. If those things can hurt him... it's pretty obvious that a headshot of Shin atomic breath will annihilate him. That's how it is, if legendary wants to win, he better get close fast... in other words... he's in soooo much trouble.

this is old. the atomic bomb he takes it's a blast far more dissipated than the beam Shin throws... in his own movie... he gets hurt by things far more weaker than a nuclear blast... surviving the permian extinction? and? so little animals... are they stronger than Shin too? look i don't give a fuck about Shin... i don't even like him... and as i say before... he's weaker than shit... but his range attack it's one of the most powerful attacks in the godzilla mythos... Not something I immediately thought of after watching the newer of the two in action, but now that I see this pic, I REALLY want this to be a thing.
I can't even imagine the sheer amount of property damage. XD

Ironically you have a case here where the American Godzilla is more faithful to the original Godzilla forms and faithful in spirit, gigantic, intelligent, powerful, in might strength grandeur and abilities. He does give the sense of something truly ancient, and horrific in scope but at the same time noble and proud. That why when you see some scenes he's in it gives the impression of something extremely god like and unreal. He also represents nature literally that humans for all the positives and negatives are nothing compared to when nature does what it does. He is for the most part a god.
Shin Godzilla is more faithful to the spirit of Godzilla in its raw form and faithful to the original Godzilla. this one was created from the actions of mistakes of humanity like the original unlike the Legendary Godzilla which evolved naturally with radiation in the ancient past, this one like its original concept was created via nuclear radiation being absorbed in a creature that forced evolved rapid mutation. Unlike the original one being a poor dinosaur that ended up with the radiation straw via nuclear testing. This one was created via nuclear waste on small organism going to through horrific mutations and evolution, literally forcing it through millions of years of evolution in a few years or months with the truly horrific results in days.. As a result it mutated to Godzilla or at least near to his main form. This one unlike the original is in constant pain, wounds throughout the body from constant evolution or mutations, radiation, burns and cancers, or tumors, probably suffering the mother of all heart burns with its heart being a literal nuclear reactor that must release heat. This abomination represents the horrific true nature of the original spirit of Godzilla to show the horrors of nuclear radiation and how it would come back to bite us in the ass. Add to the fact of his monstrous size. He is not grand, he's not proud or noble, and he sure as hell is in pain and pissed off, he's horrific, he looks more like a undead zombie, his power far exceeds that of the original and the legendary,. Add to the fact that this form in this movie was probably not the final one and is likely a host for other possible Godzilla spawn or monsters all because humanity fucked up makes him closer to something worse then a god. The closest thing he would resemble is the fly/hybrid from the Fly the 80s movie. Hopefully he evolves to the main form or spawns a more naturally healthy godzilla if at all. Interesting note the man who made the shin godzilla is Anno man of Evangalion fame.
Given the actions and presentation of shin godzilla i would say this one is much closer in style to the Angels of his series. putting shin godzilla at Edritch Abomination level.ο»Ώ

I JUST watched Shin Gojira movie and it was AWESOME! It felt like a realistic/more plausible take on human responses and the creature was (to me) the most powerful and dangerous Gojira of all. Its ability of self-mutation/evolution and super devestating attacks would KO Legendary and Final Wars Godzilla in seconds!

Dude, shin got a hole blown in his back by a conventional bomb, final wars can withstand forces needes to throw a 30,000 ton animal over the horizon and legendary shrugged off an asteriod that ripped a hole in the earth's crust.

"Conventional bomb"? I never saw a single regular bomb harm him in the entire movie. He got two gigantic "conventional" bombs to the face and was unharmed.
Now what I think what you are talking is about the moment he bled from getting hit the MOP, also known as Massive Ordance Penetrators. These are the Tsar Bombas of Bunker Busters, incredibly powerful. And think about were they hit him. They hit him in of course the back, which was Shin's version of exhaust ports. These were the same spots that he fired his atomic breath out of. It was like hitting him in the ear.

Conventional weapons in real life pretty much means "non nuclear and maybe non chemical/biological weapons". In scifi movies, it also rules out fictional weapons like the mazers or mecha.
So yeah, the MoP 2 (with 15 ton yeild iirc) is a conventional bomb....a specialized. Also. I Dont think those are exhaust ports, unless the movie or outside media has any info you could provide.
Still, we did see legendary get hit by castle bravo and the only shot of it shows him engulfed in the fire ball.
