Day 17 of MonsterMarch, and this is not a drawing of a Kaiju or a giant monster, but a map of the 2005 Peter Jackson interpretation of Skull Island, I made this drawing back in 12/19/2016. If you look closely, it even has a key showing you the different habitats and key locations of the island shown in the film. Personally, the 2005 skull island is my favorite interpretation of King Kong’s home, it genuinely feels like a terrifying, otherworldly map with creep, monstrous life forms that you wouldn’t want to come across and there’s a richness in detail and lore that elevates it over the other versions of skull island.
