Mechsplosions are mechanized kaiju designed by ancient humans to be the ultimate weapons against kaiju during the war. They were closely modeled on the Rexplosion in order to match them in abilities, giving humanity a weapon just as strong as one of the strongest enemies they faced. Although the introduction of these machines alone could have changed the outcome of the war, no evidence exist that the God-Men ever actually constructed them. Their blueprints were sealed away for centuries until modern scientist uncovered and built them.

Much of their A.I. is closely modeled with Rexplosion brain activity as a template. They can think and act in the exact same manner as their organic counterparts, or use this knowledge to predict their foe and outsmart them. Mechsplosions do not appear to be aware that they are mechanical in nature, and often display Rexplosion behaviors despite them being of no use to a robot.

Mechsplosions are a completely anomalous feat of engineering, having functions and properties almost indistinguishable from organic life. Mechsplosions are known to eat and breathe just like any normal animal, and their internal processes are more biological than mechanical in nature. They are capable of slowly healing from damage on their own, something that should not be possible for a mere titanium-clad robot. Rather than needing outside ammunition, the missiles Mechsplosions launch are "grown" within their bodies using raw materials they ingest, making their weapons akin to hair that is continuously generated and shed.

Mechsplosions are a near even match to their template species, lacking some of the destructive power but having greater durability and versatility.
