Like what the title says, basically it supports for the original American Godzilla for a movie one day in the future.

IF ONLY.
This could've probably been one of the best remakes ever, simply because of how much the director loved the concept of Godzilla and wanted to exploit it into an international project to make sure the King's legacy remains intact.
Sadly, we got 1998 Zilla.

There are a ton of aspects that would have made this a million times better than what we got in '98. However, I do feel iffy about having Godzilla alien-made... Still, if I had to choose between radioactive iguana who rips off the T-Rex and an alien-made Godzilla, I'd run with the latter.

The alien thing kinda ruins the whole nature-nuclear power destruction related to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but hey. It's an asexual lizard compared to Big G kicking ass, we ALL prefer the latter.

I've been thinking about this, and I think that Godzilla wouldn't fit as well into this script as a custom/original monster would.
